Health Ministry reduces NEET MDS 2024 Qualifying Percentile, details
New Delhi- The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued a notification regarding the reduction of the qualifying percentile for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024.
The MoHFW addressed a letter to the Executive Director of the National Board of Medical Examination in Medical Sciences (NBMES) and the Deputy Director General (ME) of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
Through the letter, the MoHFW has informed that the ministry has decided to reduce the cut-off percentile to qualify for NEET MDS 2024. The cut-off percentile will be reduced by 21.692 percentile for each category i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC and UR-PWD. Of these, the cut-off percentile for general is 28.308, for SC, ST and OBC is 18.308 and UR-PWD is 23.308
The qualifying percentile for NEET MDS 2024, for the academic session 2024-25 now stands as under-

Therefore, NBE is directed to bring out the revised results as per the lower qualifying percentage mentioned and MCC is requested to take appropriate action on a priority basis.
NEET MDS Counselling 2024 began on July 1 and continued till September 14, 2024. The academic session for PG courses will begin on August 1, 2024.
Recently, MCC released the final result of the NEET MDS Stray Vacancy Round Counselling 2024. As per the result, a total of 15487 students have been declared qualified for NEET MDS Stray Vacancy Round Counselling 2024.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges.
