New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will now conduct NEET based counselling for two newly introduced NRI/Foreign quota seats in the BDS program at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) starting from the academic session 2025-26.
The Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently announced the introduction of a new Foreign/NRI quota for its Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program starting from the academic session 2025–26.
As per the official notice, a total of 2 seats will be available under this category, for which admission will be done, through counselling by the (MCC) Medical Counselling Committee, based on NEET score as per merit. Candidates are advised to go through the Terms & Conditions w.r.t Eligibility & Fee etc. for applying to NRI seats in the Notice forwarded by Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Milia Islamia.
The Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia has introduced a new category for Foreign / NRI students in the BDS program from the Academic Year 2025-26. Foreign/ NRI candidates can apply for 2 seats in the BDS programme, for which admission will be done, through counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee, based on NEET score as per merit.
The candidate will have to register on the MCC website and register for counselling as per the process mentioned in the MCC Information Bulletin and Counselling Scheme 2025. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) charges a refundable security deposit for NEET UG counselling. The refundable security deposit of Rs 200,000/-* will have to be paid at the time of registration, in order to fill the choice for NRI quota seats. detail.
The fees for the entire BDS program will be USD 50,000, which is non- refundable and payable in one installment.
The following documents are required for completion of admission formalities in Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi 110025
- Allotment letter, downloaded from MCC website.
- Score card of NEET-2025
- Admit card of NEET-2025
- Self-attested copies of marks sheet and passing certificate of the qualifying examination along with certificate of conversion of Grade/GPA into percentage
- Age proof based on the certificate of High School/Secondary School or an equivalent examination.
- Copy of valid passport of parent working abroad
- Copy of valid working visa/work permit/license to work of parent (duly translated in English and self-attested)
- Copy of valid Residence permit / Iqama (duly translated in English and self- attested)
- Self-attested copy of the letter from employer of parent abroad. (dated not older than 6 months, at the time of admission)
- Self- attested copy of the NRI certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in the concerned country. (dated not older than 6 months, at the time of admission).
- Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
- Migration certificate.
- Proof of entitlement for a particular reserved category issued by the Competent Authority, where applicable.
- Proof of permanent address as declared in the application form.
- Four passport size photographs.
- Execution of Bond agreement (Format attached).
- In case an intervening/gap period is involved, the candidate has to submit a affidavit from Class 1 Gazetted Officer/ Notary Public for the entire intervening/ gap period showing year-wise preoccupation and non-indulgence in any criminal activities after leaving the institution last attended (Format attached).
- The candidates may bring with them Chest X-ray (with report) and Ophthalmic (Eye) examination report from a Registered Medical Practitioner. All medical report must be dated within last 15 days, before the date of admission
- The student and his/her parent will have to submit the online anti-ragging undertaking at anti ragging website.
