Delhi: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is an undergraduate degree program in the dental field. The duration of the course is 5 years, including one year of internship. The admissions are based on the NEET UG entrance exam. The candidates who qualify for NEET and fulfil the other eligibility conditions are only eligible for BDS admission.

This year NEET UG 2023 exam was conducted on 7th May 2023, from 02:00 to 05:20 PM (Indian Standard Time). National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted it since 2019 for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. This test is conducted once a year across India and abroad.

In BDS seats are allocated based on the merit of the candidates and the choices filled by them. Those who qualify in NEET UG are only allowed for the counselling process. The counselling process is usually carried out in 4 rounds (round 1, round 2, mop-up, and spot round). Spot round is conducted only if seats remain vacant after the first 3 rounds.
