NEET MDS Admissions: TN Health notifies on Round 2, check out seat matrix, key dates
Tamil Nadu- The Tamil Nadu (TN Health) has released the tentative vacancy list for the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Courses for the academic year 2025-26 in the Government Dental Colleges. The vacancy list has been released in a PDF format on the official website of TN Health.
The list includes important details such as college name, seat vacant for the open and service category and specialities. As per the tentative vacancy list, a total of 146 seats are vacant across 9 MDS specialities in Government and Self-Financing Dental Colleges. Of these, a total of 26 seats are vacant in Government and a total of 120 seats are vacant in Self-Financing Dental Colleges.
In addition, in the Government Dental Colleges, Periodontology has the highest vacant seats and Public Health Dentistry and Paediatrics and Preventive Dentistry have the lowest vacant seats. Similarly, in the Self-Financing Dental Colleges, Periodontology has the highest vacant seats and Paediatrics and Preventive Dentistry have the lowest vacant seats. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1 The candidates who have been allotted and joined in Round I can opt for upgradation and need to register for the arising virtual vacancy.
2 Clear and virtual vacancies will be displayed on the website.
3 Vacancy positions for the Course will be available on the official websites.
4 Selection committee does not take responsibility for Connectivity error and Procedural error.
5 Admission to MDS Degree courses shall be made by the online counselling based on rank by applying the rule of reservation/ 200 points Roster method.
6 Request for change of course or College, from one to another, is not permitted after final locking.
FEES
Meanwhile, the fresh candidates who have not registered in Round I will have to remit a nonrefundable Registration Fee of Rs 1000/- for Government Quota and Rs 1000/- for Management Quota. However, the candidates who have already registered in Round I need not pay again.
In addition, at the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit of Rs 30,000/- for the Government Quota seats in Government Dental Colleges, Rs 1,00,000/- for the Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges and Rs 2,00,000/- for the Management Quota including Minority/ NRI Category seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges.
CHOICE FILLING
1 Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
2 Candidates will have the option of choosing filling for all the seats for which they have applied. For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and Management quota, they will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyse all the choices available and fill in their choices in order of their preference.
3 Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked, they will not be allowed to edit. Hence, candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.
4 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (24 July 2025, 5 PM), their choices will be automatically locked.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER
1 The Selected candidate has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
2 Fee structure is available on the official website.
3 All candidates should make sure sufficient funds are available at their bank account with expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
4 The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Dental College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE
1 The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification.
2 If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
3 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, mis-interpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
