UP DGME issues Instructions For NEET MDS Stray Vacancy Round Counselling Candidates
Uttar Pradesh- Uttar Pradesh Director General, Medical Education (UPDGME) has begun the Stray Vacancy round of online counselling for admission to state quota seats of the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course in Government, Private Dental Colleges and Universities of Uttar Pradesh. On this, UPDGME has released certain necessary guidelines regarding online counselling of stray vacancy rounds under UP National Eligibility and Entrance test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024.
As per the instructions released regarding the online counselling of stray vacancy rounds of UP NEET MDS 2024, only those candidates will be eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round, who have not been allotted any seats in the previous round of UP NEET MDS 2024 counselling. However, candidates admitted through medium will not be eligible.
To participate in the UP NEET MDS 2024 Stray Vacancy Round, it will be mandatory for all the eligible candidates to do a fresh registration by depositing a separate online registration fee of Rs. 2000/-. Along with this, candidates will also have to deposit an earnest money amount of Rs 1,00,000 for MDS course seats in private-sector dental colleges and Rs 30,000 for seats in government-sector dental colleges. However, candidates who are registered and unallocated in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd rounds of counselling and also have deposited the earnest amount will not be required to deposit the amount again to participate in the stray vacancy round of counselling.
In addition, all the candidates allotted from the Stray Vacancy Round will have to present all the original educational and reservation-related certificates at the allotted Dental College or Nodal Center at the time of admission, otherwise, the admission of the candidate will not be considered. Also, if any candidate does not take admission after allotment from the Stray Vacancy Round, then the earnest money deposited by such candidates will be confiscated but will be banned for UP NEET MDS Counseling 2025-26. Therefore, it is mandatory for the candidates allotted from the Stray Vacancy Round to report to the concerned Dental College after taking admission at the Nodal Centre.
Meanwhile, the allotted candidates must undergo a medical examination from the medical board constituted at the Dental College/Nodal Centre.
The Stray Vacancy round of online counselling for UP NEET MDS 2024 begins today i.e. 4th September 2024 and will end on 14th September 2024. The detailed schedule is given below-

Meanwhile, to participate in the additional vacancy round, all the candidates must get fresh registration done by paying Rs.2000/- online registration fee separately.
