DME Assam notifies on internship counselling for FMGs, check details
Guwahati: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has issued an official notification announcing the offline counselling schedule for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) who are permanent residents of Assam and seeking allotment of Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) seats in government medical colleges across the state.
The notice pertains to candidates who have completed their MBBS (Part-II)/equivalent degree abroad and have cleared the FMGE screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The offline counselling will be conducted at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati, and candidates are required to report at 10:30 AM on their respective dates as per following schedule:
| Date of counselling | Marks obtained in Screening Test |
| 5th December, 2025 | Candidates who secured 160 marks and above |
| 6th December , 2025 | Candidates who secured between 159 and 150 marks |
Venue of Counseling: Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati – 22.
Time of Counseling: At 10:30 AM (each day of counselling).
Candidates must also bring with them a duly filled-in ‘Data Form’ which is available on the Directorate’s official website of DME Assam, along with all relevant documents in original and a set of xerox copies of their original documents/ testimonials.
Candidates must fulfil all requirements as notified by the National Medical Commission.
