Telangana: Through a recent notice, the Director of Medical Education (DME) has informed about the counselling schedule and guidelines for compulsory government service for the senior residents in 2022.

The counselling for the 2019 batch of postgraduates who have passed in 2022 (Convener quota) will be as per the schedule mentioned below

The detailed schedule –

23rd August 2022 –

10:00 am –

1. Anatomy

2. Physiology

3. Biochemistry

4. Pathology

5. Microbiology

6. Pharmacology

7. Forensic Medicine

8. Community Medicine

9. General Medicine

1:30 pm –

1. Pediatrics

2. Respiratory Medicine

3. DVL

4. Psychiatry

5. Pediatrics

6. Radiology

7. Hospital Administration

8. Emergency Medicine

9. Transfusion Medicine

10. Radiation Oncology/ Radiotherapy

24th August 2022 –

10:00 am –

1. Surgery

2. Orthopedics

3. Ent

4. Opthalmology

1.30 pm –

1. Obstetrics &Gynec

2. Anesthesia


The counselling will be based on merit, i.e. total marks secured in PG final examination conducted by KNRUHS, Warangal. If 2 or more candidates have secured the same marks, the older person (based upon the date of birth-Proof to be produced) will be given preference.

The period of CGS is for 1 year only. A total of 20 days' leave with permission is permitted. The students note that extension or long leave beyond 20 days of casual leave will be given only on pregnancy/maternity-related grounds.

If the students violate the bond condition either by not joining or by not completing the stipulated service period of one year within a maximum period of 18 months after obtaining the PG Degree, Rs. 2000000 for PG Degree candidates shall be levied as a penalty from those who violate the bond conditions as per GO Ms No. 107, HM&FW (El) department dated 18/7/2013.

Doctors who do not comply will not be given additional degree registration in the permanent registration of the TS State Medical Council. If a candidate gets into a super speciality degree immediately after completion of a PG degree, they have to do the compulsory Govt. service after completing a Super Specialty Degree.

The senior resident doctor should report immediately at the allotted place of posting. As per NMC, biometric attendance is mandatory. Payment will be done considering the entry and exit of biometric attendance registration.

The following documents have to be brought at the time of counselling -

1. Provisional pass certificate

2. Identity proof

3. Proof of date of birth, if required (Aadhar/ SSC /Birth certificate)

4. Filled in application form (2 copies)

5. Cancelled cheque with 1FSC code
