FMGE December 2024: Know how to apply for the screening test
New Delhi- The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) invited applications for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination- FMGE December 2024. For candidates appearing for FMGE, NBE has also released an information bulletin detailing the instructions to fill out the online FMGE application form for December 2024.

As per the current schedule, the Screening Test is conducted by the NBEMS biannually. The last session of FMGE was conducted on 6th July 2024.
The next session of Screening Test shall be held on 12th January 2025 as per schedule detailed under Important Dates and Scheme of Examination.
Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin carefully and go through the instructions regarding submission of online application form given in the information bulletin as well as on FMGE index page on NBEMS website before starting online submission process for FMGE December 2024 session.
Candidate should ensure that all the information entered during the online submission of application form is correct and factual. Information provided by the candidates in the online application form shall be treated as correct and NBEMS will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change in the information provided by the candidates. The option of editing certain information entered in the application form shall be available to the candidates during the edit window. Please refer Chapter on Instructions to fill Application Form for details regarding Edit Window.
NBEMS itself does not edit /modify/alter any information entered by the candidates at the time of online submission of application form under any circumstances. There is no provision of accessing the application form to make any changes in the information provided in the application form after closure of edit window. Such requests to make any changes shall not be entertained. Candidates, however, shall be able to rectify the deficiencies in their application (if so communicated by NBEMS) regarding images and documents uploaded by the prescribed cut-off dates.
Application for FMGE December 2024 session can only be submitted online through NBEMS website There is no other methodology for application submission. Application submitted through any other mode shall be summarily rejected.
Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated information shall not be considered and candidates may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations conducted by NBEMS or other Institutions.
Candidates are advised to review their applications submitted and rectify the deficiencies, if found any, within the window as detailed below. Candidates may note that deficiency in the application form may be communicated to them by NBEMS, however, it shall be the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application submitted is complete in all aspects as per the information bulletin. If any deficiency in the application which was not communicated by NBEMS to the applicant before conduct of the examination, is noted at any later stage, this would not create any equity in favour of the candidate and confer any rights on to the candidates for grant of eligibility for the examination.
Edit Window: Candidates who have successfully submitted their payment for the application during Application Submission window shall only be allowed to edit their applications during 21st November 2024 to 25th November 2024. No new application can be registered or payment can be made during edit window. Any information/ document can be changed/corrected during the edit window except for Name, Test City, Nationality, Mobile Number and Email ID. Information can be edited any number of times before the closure of the window. The last submitted information will be saved in records.
Final Edit Window: Deficiency related to images uploaded (photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression) shall be intimated to the concerned candidates and same can be corrected during the final edit window i.e. 6th December 2024 to 9th December 2024. No further opportunity shall be given to make corrections. Candidates are advised to submit the images in their application as per prescribed image upload guidelines.
Failure to submit images as per guidelines and/or failure to rectify the images shall invite rejection of the application.
Deficiency related to documents uploaded (Proof of possessing Primary Medical Qualification, attestation of Primary Medical Qualification certificate by Indian Embassy concerned/ apostille, Eligibility Certificate/Admission Letter, Identity Proof of Citizenship etc) can be rectified by 20th December 2024. NBEMS shall publish a list of candidates on its website who would fail to rectify the deficiencies in their documents even by 20th December 2024 and shall open an online window from 27th December 2024 to 30th December 2024 giving a FINAL opportunity to submit documents which are deficient in application. No further opportunity will be given.
Candidates who fail to submit duly completed applications for FMGE December 2024 with requisite documents and/or fail to rectify the deficiencies in their applications by the last date (i.e. 30th December 2024) for rectification shall be declared ineligible. Admit Card shall not be issued to candidates who are declared ineligible before conduct of examination. In such cases, the entire fees will be forfeited. Issuance of admit card in any previous session(s) of FMGE shall not be a ground to issue an admit card for FMGE December 2024 as well for such candidates who are declared ineligible for FMGE December 2024 due to incomplete applications.
Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated records will not be considered and such candidates will be further debarred from appearing in the future examinations of NBEMS. Action as deemed appropriate by NBEMS will be taken if false or fabricated records/ information is submitted or any unfair means are used.
Candidates are advised to ensure that no mandatory column in the online application form is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration will be entertained.
A candidate can submit FMGE December 2024 application form only once. If a candidate is found to have submitted more than one application form for FMGE December 2024, NBEMS may issue admit card to the application bearing higher order Application number (application ID) and cancel other application(s) forfeiting the fee for them. In an event any unfair practice is detected by NBEMS at any stage of examination/admission process, NBEMS may cancel the candidature of such candidates and debar them from appearing in any examinations conducted by NBEMS as per provisions of the Unfair Means Guidelines.
Candidates should ensure before submission of online application form that they shall qualify the final examination for their primary medical qualification by the prescribed cut-off date and their primary medical qualification shall be confirmed by the concerned Indian Embassy, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated. If it is found at any point of time that their primary medical qualification is not recognized, the candidature/result shall be cancelled/ deemed to be cancelled.
Candidates should have qualified the final examination for their Primary Medical Qualification i.e. MBBS or Equivalent degree on/before 31st October 2024 and must submit a proof of passing the same while applying for the FMGE. If a candidate fails to substantiate the claim of having passed the primary medical qualification by the prescribed cut off date i.e. 31st October 2024 with supportive documents, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.
The foreign medical degrees should be attested either by the Embassy of India or should be Apostilled by the appropriate authority of the foreign country concerned. Kindly note that the apostilled/attestation is to be in accordance with the requirements of Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 abolishing the requirement of legalisation for Foreign Public Document (Apostille Convention). For details regarding Apostilled documents, candidates may refer to the website of Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. Unattested certificates / Certificates attested after the last date prescribed for submission of documents (i.e. 30th December 2024) shall not be considered for the purpose of eligibility for FMGE December 2024.
Candidates may kindly note that appearance in FMGE does not confer any automatic rights to secure provisional or permanent registration with the National Medical Commission or any State Medical Council. The provisional or permanent registration with the National Medical Commission or any State Medical Council is subject to fulfilling the criteria as per the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Candidates should go through this bulletin carefully for eligibility criteria before applying. Queries pertaining to eligibility and other issues will only be entertained if the information requested is not given in the bulletin of information or NBEMS website.
Candidate found ineligible at any stage of FMG Examination, will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or passing the FMG examination, the results/ candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or is deemed to be cancelled, even if result has been declared or Pass Certificate has been issued.
Candidate found ineligible at any stage of FMG Examination, will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or passing the FMG examination, the results/ candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or is deemed to be cancelled, even if result has been declared or Pass Certificate has been issued.
NBEMS reserves the right to withdraw permission, if any, granted inadvertently to any candidate who is not eligible to appear in the FMG Examinations even though the admit card/roll number has been issued or name/roll number is displayed on NBEMS website.
Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future exams nor refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates’ eligibility is purely provisional & is subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed in this Information Bulletin and as per the stipulations laid down in the Screening Test Regulations for seeking registration with medical councils.
Instructions in the information bulletin are liable to change based on decisions taken by the NBEMS from time to time.
NBEMS reserves its absolute rights to alter the examination schedule, pattern, policy and guidelines at any time. The candidate shall have no right whatsoever for claiming/ deriving any right from past or present schedule, policy and guidelines of NBEMS.
NBEMS reserves its absolute right to alter, amend, modify or apply any or some of the instructions/ guidelines contained in this information bulletin.
The existing schedule, pattern, policy and guidelines are for ready reference only but in no way, they are or ought to be treated as representative or acknowledgment of fact that NBEMS is bound to follow the same in future.
Instructions in the Information Bulletin are liable to change based on decisions taken by the Government / National Medical Commission / Competent Authority / Court decisions from time to time. Candidates are required to refer to the latest bulletin or corrigendum that may be issued to incorporate these changes. Refer NBEMS website for latest updates or corrigendum.
Notifications, regulations etc. issued by Government of India/ National Medical Commission time to time may be referred for eligibility criteria, pattern etc.
In case of any ambiguity in interpretation of any of the instructions/ terms/ rules/criteria regarding the determination of eligibility/conduct of examinations/ registration of candidates/information contained herein, the interpretation of the NBEMS shall be final and binding in nature. In case of any discrepancy in the information contained in English and Hindi version of the bulletin, the information mentioned in English language shall be considered final.
Request shall not be entertained for change in date/center of examination under any circumstances. Candidates are advised not to canvass for such representation.
Admit Cards for FMG Examination shall be available to downloaded at NBEMS website from 8th January 2025 onwards. Candidates found ineligible before conduct of the examination shall not be issued admit cards.
Result of FMG Examination shall be displayed on NBEMS website.
FMGE shall be conducted by NBEMS at various exam centres engaged for the purpose. Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the route and location of the exam centre. Please refer Chapter on details of Test Day Procedures.
The examination test centre staff on duty is authorized to verify the identity of candidates and may take steps to verify and record the identity of candidates. Candidates are required to extend requisite cooperation.
Possession/ Use of mobile phones/Electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of NBEMS test Centres. Candidates shall be liable for penal action for Possession/ Use of Mobile phones/ Electronic devices. Please go through guidelines detailed in Chapter on use of unfair means in the examination.
Demo Test: A demo test shall be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarise themselves with the Computer Based Test format at website Candidates will be able to access the Demo test tentatively from 27th December 2024 onwards.
The candidates should communicate with NBEMS regarding matters related to FMG Examinations as per prescribed Protocols only, detailed under Chapter on Communication Protocols.
Candidates are encouraged to communicate for FMGE December 2024 session through “helpdesk” tab which can be accessed after the applicant login to its application account. The correspondence through post should be addressed to the Executive Director, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Medical Enclave, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110029. Candidates are requested to superscribe the envelope with the subject matter of the correspondence for expeditious processing.
Candidates are advised not to canvass with NBEMS for eligibility to appear in FMGE or issuance of admit card or declaration of result or award of grace marks or issuance of FMGE Pass Certificate. Queries, if any, within the applicable terms of the information bulletin can be submitted by bonafide applicants at CWP only through their registered email ID. Canvassing in any form shall not only invite rejection of the application but NBEMS may also register an unfair means case against such candidates.
The jurisdiction for court cases/disputes shall be at New Delhi only.
Instructions to Fill Online FMGE Application Form
New User Registration: All candidates desirous of applying for FMGE December 2024 session shall be required to create an online profile of themselves to generate a User ID and Password.
Applicant Login: This User ID and Password so created will allow the candidate to login as an applicant for FMGE December 2024 session and register an online application. The “Go To Application” link will allow the applicant to continue with the application submission immediately after user creation.
Name of Candidate: Please mention your full name as in Primary Medical Qualification Certificate. Name as entered by the candidate while creating his/her User ID shall be reflected in a non-editable format in his/her examination application form. No change in the name shall be permissible under any circumstances after submission of an application. The candidate shall be required to produce his/her Govt issued ID proof bearing same name at the test centre on the test day to seek entry. In case of Mismatch in name between admit card and Photo ID proof shown, entry to the test centre shall not be allowed. It is strongly advised not to submit an application with an error in the candidate’s name as it shall not be allowed to be edited after application submission. If the user has entered his/her name wrongly while registering the user, please create another user with correct name.
Gender and Date of Birth: Indicate your gender and Day, Month & Year of your birth. Please enter the correct date of birth carefully while registering the user.
Nationality: Please choose your nationality amongst the options given: Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Foreign Nationals. Indian Citizens who are not NRI should choose Indian. An Indian Citizen should choose Non-Resident Indian, if he/she is an NRI. If you are a Foreign National but also an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), please choose OCI. As per Screening Test Regulations, an Indian Citizen/NRI or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) alone are eligible to apply for FMGE (Screening Test). Foreign Nationals (other than Nepalese) who are not an OCI are not eligible to apply for FMGE. If you are citizen of any country other than India or Nepal and not an OCI, you are NOT eligible to apply for FMGE.
Email ID: Email ID chosen by the candidate shall be verified through a system generated OTP for user creation. Same email ID can not be used for registration of any other user concurrently. Please note that all email correspondence with the candidate shall be done at this email ID only. Email chosen by the candidate shall be the primary means to communicate with the candidate for examination purposes. Information related to examinations shall be sent at this email ID. Candidates shall also be able to communicate with NBEMS through this registered email only. Correspondence received from any other email ID of the candidate shall not be entertained.
Therefore, candidates are advised to choose the email ID carefully.
Mobile No: Please provide a unique mobile number for receiving Examinations related communications sent through SMS. Mobile number chosen by the candidate shall NOT be the primary means to communicate with the candidate for examination purposes.
The User ID/Application ID and password so generated shall be sent to the registered email ID of the candidate for future records.
The index page of FMGE December 2024 session at NBEMS website provides a quick link, “Already Registered? To login”. The online application form for FMGE December 2024 session can be accessed through this quick link after successful login.
The candidate can login using his/her User ID and Password.
The application submission process can be completed either in a single sitting or in multiple sittings, as per the candidate's choice, during the application submission window. However, once an application is successfully completed & submitted, it shall be available for editing certain field only during the “edit window”.
Candidates are advised not to complete & submit their online application in a haste so as to avoid any errors in providing information. Request for making any changes in date of birth, name or any other information provided in the application shall be summarily rejected. NBEMS does not edit/modify/change any information provided by the candidates in their applications of its own. Candidates has the option to make corrections in any information except name, nationality, test city, mobile number and email ID during the edit window.
The candidate shall be required to provide information as asked under various heads. It is strongly recommended to keep the required information handy before start filing the application. Some of the salient heads in the application form are as under:
Details of Identification: Passport Number and Validity: Mention details of Passport issued by Govt of India if you are an Indian Citizen. Mention details of passport of your country of citizenship if you are an OCI; An OCI shall be asked to provide OCI Card Number also.
Any Other Govt of India issued ID Proof: Providing details shall be mandatory for Nepalese Citizen, and for an Indian Citizen who does not have a valid Indian Passport.

- Date of Starting and Completing the course
- Name of Institute: To locate your medical school in application form in the drop down list, please refer World Directory of Medical Schools available at www.wdoms.org beforehand for easy identification of the name of Country, City and medical school.
Roll Number of Last FMGE taken: Please mention the Roll number of latest session of FMGE (out of June 2024, December 2023, June 2023 and December 2022), if you were issued an admit card for it.
Eligibility Certificate (EC): You shall be asked to provide status of issuance of EC to you by MCI/ NMC. If EC is applicable in your case, you shall be required to upload the same under document upload section. If you took admission during the period when obtaining EC from MCI was not required/was exempted by the Govt of India, you shall be required to upload a copy of admission letter confirming the exact date of admission to the primary medical qualification in lieu of EC. You shall be required to upload Score Card for qualifying NEET-UG in lieu of EC if admission in Primary Medical Qualification has been obtained on or after May 2018.
Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photograph, Scanned Signatures and Thumb Impression): The candidate shall be required to upload scanned copies of following original documents at indicated places:
Primary Medical Qualification Degree certificate/ Provisional Pass Certificate duly attested by embassy of India in the country from where the qualification has been obtained/apostilled in accordance with the requirements of Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 abolishing the requirement of legalisation for Foreign Public Document (Apostille Convention). Apostille/Embassy Attestation uploaded MUST belong to the document which has been uploaded as a proof of qualifying Primary Medical Qualification. If it is detected that the uploaded Apostille/Embassy attestation does not pertain to the said proof of qualifying Primary Medical Qualification, this shall be treated as resorting to use of an Unfair Means and dealt with accordingly. The uploaded document shall be treated as unattested/uncertified and candidature of candidate shall be cancelled for FMGE December 2024 irrespective of issuance of admit card, appearance in examination and/ or being declared qualified the examination.
The Degree Certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate of Primary Medical Qualification must confirm that the result of final examination for the said primary medical qualification was declared on or before 31st October 2024.
Proof of Citizenship: One of the following documents must be uploaded
Indian Citizen/NRI: Valid Passport issued by Govt of India (Front Page and Last Page of valid passport).
Overseas Citizen of India: OCI Card + Valid Passport of country of Citizenship (Front Page and Last Page of valid passport)
Nepalese Citizen: One of the Govt of India Issued Photo ID such as PAN Card, Driving License. Indian Citizens who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification from Nepal and have not been issued passport by Govt of India can also upload this.
Migrants from other countries to India shall be required to upload a Certificate of Registration for Citizenship of India issued by MHA, Govt of India.
Candidates who have appeared in Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the past and have been declared unsuccessful and have submitted their documents to NBEMS on an earlier occasion are also required to submit their scanned documents as detailed above while applying for FMGE December 2024 session. Submission of documents in previous session(s) of FMGE, or issuance of admit card in any previous session of FMGE and/or declaration of result in any previous session(s) does not confer any rights for eligibility towards FMGE December 2024 session. Applications of candidates who fail to submit the documents prescribed in the information bulletin or fail to rectify the deficiencies in the document as communicated by NBEMS shall be rejected.
Indicate names of four test cities of your choice amongst the test cities offered where you would like to appear in FMGE. You may be allotted the test centre for FMGE in any of these four test cities indicated as preferred choices. The order in which these choices are indicated shall not be treated as your preference order. NBEMS may allocate you a test city other than any of these four choices also in an event the capacity of testing nodes in all chosen cities is exceeded or a test city is not considered for conduct of examination due to security/logistic reasons.
After selection of test city, the candidate shall be required to pay the prescribed examination fee online. The fee can not be paid through any mode other than the payment gateway available in online application form.
Candidates shall be prompted to preview the entire application before submission in order to make any corrections, if so required. They shall be required to submit the application after agreeing to the “declaration”. This shall complete the entire process of application submission
Acknowledgement of Application Submission: An acknowledgement email shall be sent to the registered email ID confirming submission of an application by the candidate. Submission of application shall be completed only after successful payment of examination fee. Candidate should confirm the status of payment in the application form PDF where ’S’ would stand for “Successful” and “F” would stand for “Failed”.
Edit Window: Candidates who have successfully submitted payment for their application during Application Submission window shall only be allowed to edit their applications during 21st November 2024 to 25th November 2024. Any information/document can be changed/corrected during the edit window except for Name, Test City, Nationality, mobile number and Email ID. All editable fields in the application form shall be open for the candidate to make any corrections, if so required. Details of field which can not be edited are mentioned below
Information entered in the application form can be changed during the “Edit Window”. However, following fields in the application form shall remain non-editable:
• Name of the Candidate
• Email ID
• Mobile number
• Nationality
• Test City
No editing in information provided shall be permissible in the application form, once edit window is over.
NBEMS disclaims any liability that may arise due to incorrect information provided by the candidate during online application form submission.
NBEMS does not edit /modify/alter any information entered by the candidates at the time of online submission of application form under any circumstances
Subsequent to closure of edit window, deficiency, if any, in the application form shall be communicated to concerned candidates:
Final Edit Window: The corrections in images uploaded (i.e. Photographs, Signatures and Thumb impression), if required, shall be communicated through emails at registered email ID of concerned candidates only. and same can be corrected during the final edit window i.e. 6th December 2024 to 9th December 2024. Only those images which require corrections shall be editable during this final edit window. No further opportunity shall be given to make corrections. Candidates are advised to submit the images in their application as per prescribed image upload guidelines. Failure to submit images as per guidelines and/or failure to rectify the images shall invite rejection of the application.

Online Deficient Document Submission Portal: The deficiency, if any, in document(s) uploaded by the candidates in application form (such as EC, Passport, Proof of Passing etc) shall be communicated through an Online Deficient Document Submission Portal. Documents CAN NOT be submitted through any other mode such as in-person to NBEMS office or through Communication Web Portal or email. Documents submitted through any mode other than the “Online Deficient Document Submission Portal” shall not be entertained.
Candidates can access the deficiencies communicated by NBEMS by entering the information asked on the portal. The portal would allow to respond to queries as well as to upload documents, if so asked.
Candidate may kindly note that the following documents may also be asked by NBEMS to be submitted at any time, if any doubt arises during the determination of eligibility of the candidate.
- Copy of Address Proof (PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport/
- Driving License/ Aadhar Card).
- Latest Passport size Photographs
- Copy of Date of Birth Proof (Certificate of Matriculation).
- Copy of 10+2 passing certificate.
- Copy of 10+2 mark sheet.
- Copy of internship certificate (if done abroad).
- Copy of fail certificate/ result for Ex-candidates.

- Equivalence Certificate: From Association of Indian

The following sequence shall be observed while filing the online application form:
- Fill the user registration form to generate User ID/Application ID and Password.
- User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email.
- Complete the application form and upload your Photograph, Scanned signature, Thumb impression & Prescribed documents.
- Choose your Test City and pay Examination Fee
- Agree to the declaration and Submit Application
- Take a print out of the filled Application form with Transaction ID printed on it and payment status mentioned as “S” (Successful) for records.
Image Upload Instructions
Note: Kindly go through the guidelines carefully. Images uploaded in the application form which are not in accordance with the guidelines or failure to rectify the images in the edit window/final edit window shall invite rejection of application. Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph, signature and thumb impression as per the specifications given below. Your online application will not be registered unless you upload your photograph, signature and thumb impression as specified.
A. PHOTOGRAPH
Processes for photo upload: The candidate shall be required to upload TWO photographs:
1. A REAL TIME PHOTOGRAPH taken by the webcam/in-built camera of the computer system while filling the online application form:
a. Confirm that the system used to fill the form has an in-built camera/webcam.
b. Be properly dressed in a formal attire.
c. Stand/sit against a white background (Avoid distracting backgrounds)
d. There should be bright light falling on your face but not on the webcam.
e. No objects should be behind you while capturing the photograph through web cam). The image must not include other objects or additional people. Ensure that you are only one person in picture.
f. The image must contain the full face, ears, neck, and shoulders of the entrant in frontal view with a neutral, non-smiling expression and with eyes open and directed at the camera.
g. The image must not contain any parts of the body below the entrant's shoulders.
h. Click on “Capture Photo” button in the application form.
Upload a RECENT PHOTOGRAPH (Not more than 3 months old) which can be prepared in following way:
CLICKING YOUR RECENT PHOTO USING DIGITAL CAMERA:
❖ DO NOT UPLOAD MORE THAN 3 MONTH OLD PRESAVED PHOTOGRAPH OF YOURS. Uploading a photograph which is not a recent one shall invite rejection of application.
❖ IN CASE OF GROSS DIFFERENCE IN YOUR APPEARANCE IN REAL TIME PHOTOGRAPH AND UPLOADED PHOTOGRAPH, THE APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.
a. Preference to be given to upload a photograph taken in a photo-studio in last 3 months to avoid any likely error in photograph. If you decide to take the photograph at home, please follow the instructions mentioned below.
b. Be properly dressed in a formal attire.
c. Click colour photograph in bright light using any high resolution digital device (preferably with > 5-megapixel resolution). Avoid using flash as it tends to create a shadow on the white background. Images which are taken in with improper light shall be rejected.
d. Avoid selfie; ask someone else to take the picture for you. They might also help to direct you a bit, like telling you to straight your head or tuck your hair behind your ears. Selfies shall be rejected.
e. Do not wear spectacles (to avoid reflection in the glass), cap, goggles, stethoscope around neck, makeup, ornaments while getting the photo shot.
f. Stand/sit against a white background (Avoid distracting backgrounds)
g. No object should be in the background. The image must not include other objects or additional people. Ensure that you are only one person in picture. Images having any object in the background shall be rejected.
h. The image must contain the full face, ears, neck, and shoulders of the entrant in frontal view with a neutral, non-smiling expression and with eyes open and directed at the camera.
i. The image must not contain any parts of the body below the entrant's shoulders. Images having parts of body below the shoulder shall be rejected.
Checklist for editing & uploading the digital photograph:
a. Transfer the photograph from the digital device to a computer/laptop.
b. Photograph is in colour with white background.
c. Your face is clearly visible.
d. The size of image should be less than 80kb. Size of the image can be checked by right click on the image and then go to “Properties” link. (Maintain aspect ratio, i.e. height and width ratio to avoid distortion of image)
e. Image is in .jpg/.jpeg format.
f. Image is not blurred in the process of editing.
g. Digital enhancement or other alterations or retouching are not permitted.
h. Make sure your face takes up at least 70-80% of the frame.
B. SIGNATURE
Digital image of your Signature can be made in two ways:
• Using a digital device to directly image (i.e. camera)
• Scanning the signature
Clicking image of signature using a digital device:
a. Draw a box of size 1.5 cm (height) x 3.5 cm (width). Use a black or dark blue ink pen to sign within this box.
b. Click the signature within the box in bright light conditions using any digital device (preferably with > 5-megapixel resolution). Avoid using flash.
c. Check the shadow of your hands/camera/smartphone etc. does not fall on the sheet.
Editing digital image of the signature:
a. Transfer the digital image to a computer/laptop.
b. If required, use auto-correct feature of image editing software so that the signature is clear against a white background.
c. Crop the image such that borders of box are reached.
d. Resize the image to 20 – 100 Kb (maintain aspect ratio, i.e. height and width ratio to avoid distortion of image)
II. SCANNING THE SIGNATURE:
a. The candidate should provide his/her complete signatures and not just initials.
b. The signatures should be done by the candidates only as it may be checked any time frequently.
c. Signature done on the blank white page without lines only will be accepted
d. Take the white sheet and mark the box size of 3.5 x 1.5 cm (width x height)
e. Sign inside the box with blue/black pen.
f. If the Candidate’s signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Attendance Sheet, the candidate will be disqualified.
g. Set the scanner to 200 dpi
h. The scanned image should be saved in .jpeg/.jpg format.
i. Crop only box area and not the complete white page.
j. The size of image should be less than 80kb.
C. THUMB IMPRESSION
Instruction for preparing digital image of thumb print Taking a thumb-print
a. Draw a box of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (width x height) on a white sheet of paper (you may draw more than 1 box to take multiple thumb print and select the best).
b. Use a fresh blue/black colour ink pad.
c. Practice on a sheet of paper to get the proper thumb-print especially the density or darkness of the colour. The impression of the print should be clear and readable; neither dark nor smudged or light.
d. Clean your hands and dry them before you begin (oil/dirt can obscure the prints)
e. Gently press your LEFT THUMB against the ink pad and take a horizontal print of your left thumb within the box. Do not press too much or wriggle as it may lead to smudging of print.
PREPARING DIGITAL IMAGE OF THUMB IMPRESSION USING A DIGITAL DEVICE (CAMERA)
II.SCANNING THE THUMB IMPRESSION
a. Set the scanner to 200 dpi.
b. Save the scanned image of thumb-print as .jpg/.jpeg format.
c. Crop only box area.
d. The size of image should be less than 80kb. Size of the image can be checked by right click on the image and then go to “Properties” link.

Application forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained.
How to pay: The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or other modes as may be made available and have been provided on the web page. Fee can not be deposited through any mode other than the payment gateway available while submitting online application form submission.
Kindly ensure that the payment made for examination fee is successful and confirmation of the same can be seen in the application form under payment status reflected as “S” (for successful). In case the status is shown as pending, the payment might be stuck with your bank and might be cleared at a later date. The application submission process in not completed till such time the status of payment is reflected as “S” in application form. NBEMS shall not be responsible for rejection of your application due to delay in settlement of the payment by your bank to NBEMS.
It is at the discretion of the applicant to make another payment for completing the application submission process. In an event of receipt of duplicate/multiple examination fees towards the same application ID, NBEMS shall refund the excess fees received for an application retaining the prescribed examination fee, after closure of application window.
Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason shall be forfeited. Candidates are advised to read the screening test regulations and the information bulletin for FMGE December 2024 session carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfilment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees.
