New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has informed about the candidates about the inclusion of states on the domicile category for admission to PG courses at NIMHANS, Bengaluru with respect to the INI-CET for PG courses January 2021 session.

The applicants of Karnataka Domicile and North-Eastern Domicile category those who wants to take admission in the subject of MD (Psychiatry) at NIMHANS, Bengaluru for January 2021 session may please note that the following states that have been included in the respective domicile category:

Note: *To claim that candidates are residents/domiciles of the above mentioned states, he/she should produce a certificate from the Tehsildar to the effect that he/she or his/her father/mother has been a resident of that state for a period of 07 years or has owned or possessed land or property or house in that state. Candidates submitting Domicile Certificate in any other language than English need to provide a certified translated version of the Certificate at the time of the admission.

Earlier, the AIIMS had earlier informed about the Corrigendum Regarding common Sponsorship certificate by Central/State Govt./Armed-Forces of INI-CET-Jan 2021 Session

The corrigendum refers to modification in Appendix 'E' for common Sponsorship certificate by Central/State Govt./Armed-Forces of INI-CET proforma part 'A'. The same has been revised and new format of Sponsorship Certificate is enclosed with this notice. The Sponsorship Certificate will be updated also in Prospectus Part 'A'. Candidates who have already applied need to provide certificate in new format only.

The proforma is attached in the notice below:

IMPORTANT:
i. The certificate, duly signed only by the Competent Authority such as Secretary/Director General of Health Services of the Central/State Government concerned/ DGAFMS/ Director/ Executive Head, will be considered.
ii. No addition or alteration in the above certificate is allowed.
iii. Deputation/Sponsorship of candidates holding tenure appointment (like House Job or Junior/Senior Residency), Ad-hoc or contract or honorary or appointment as leave vacancy shall not be accepted.
iv. The Sponsoring Institution should not nominate more than one candidate for a specialty/super specialty.
v. Sponsorship from Private Institute/Hospital/Nursing Homes etc. will not be accepted.
Note
1. While sponsoring the candidates, the Central/State Government/Defence Authorities /PSU/ Autonomous Bodies should furnish a certificate prescribed for this purpose duly completed and signed by the competent authority.
2. The 'Sponsorship Certificate' should must be filled properly only in the given format, failing which the application will not be considered under the Sponsored Category.
3. Applicable at AIIMS New Delhi only: -
a. For MD/MS courses, the sponsored candidates who have served in the Armed Forces will be given 5% additional marks for determining their eligibility for the entrance exam. (i.e. such candidates should secure an aggregate of 50% marks or more in all the professional MBBS Exams).
b. For MD/MS courses, sponsored candidates in the service of the Central/State Government for 3 years or more will be given 3% additional marks for determining their eligibility for the entrance exam. (i.e. such candidates should secure an aggregate of 52% marks or more in all the professional MBBS Exams).
4. * Applicable for PGIMER, Chandigarh only
a. In addition to type of organization mentioned at 4 (a) to (d), Sponsoring/deputation will also be accepted from Government Medical College affiliated to a University and recognized by the Medical Council/Dental Council of India. In case of candidates deputed/sponsored by Medical College affiliated to a University and recognized by the Medical Council of India, the deputation/ sponsorship certificate signed by the Principal of Medical College concerned only shall be accepted.
