JIPMER Opens Application Window For Certified Courses, Apply Till 22 March

As per the notice, the format of the applications can be downloaded from the JIPMER website, www.jipmer.edu.in, and also available in the academic section. The candidates must fill in the application with necessary enclosures (Xerox of Birth Certificate, 12th Mark Sheet & Degree Certificate – for Enterostomal Therapy) and must be submitted to the academic section addressed to The Dean (Academic), JIPMER on or before 22.03.2023, 4:30 pm.

Course details –

Emergency Medical Technician - This course includes training to provide early care as Para-Medicals for Trauma and Non-Trauma emergencies. Students will be trained in the various resuscitation and other interventions by the Faculty of Anesthesiology, Surgery, Orthopedics, Medicine, Paediatrics, and Nursing Sciences with Practical classes.

Qualified Mortuary Assistant (QMA) - Developing Competence and knowledge to give safe and practical assistance to the forensic surgeon in the postmortem suite, ensure the smooth operation of the mortuary, understand the legislative, legal, and cultural requirements under which a postmortem is performed and to maintain the mortuary hygienically and efficiently. Should possess excellent communication skills to operate and handle modern mortuary complexes to provide quality forensic care for the health care professionals and surroundings.

Enterostomal Therapy - Developing expertise and in-depth knowledge to enable them to develop advanced skills for nursing intervention in various gastrointestinal and genitourinary system disorders. It will allow the student to appreciate the patient as a holistic individual and to function as a specialized Enterostomal Therapy nurse and as an educator, manager, and researcher in the field of Enterostomal Therapy.

Phlebotomy - Skill to perform independent phlebotomy in a multidisciplinary setting by improving patient confidence and comfort. Recognize the nature, assess the significance, and give first aid care for the complications related to the procedure. Understand the risks and introduce quality safety of the health care professionals and surroundings.

Counseling details -

Walk-in-counseling for eligible candidates will be held on 28.03.2023 at Exam Hall-3, III-Floor, JIPMER academic center, and the registration will be held from 09:30 am to 10:30 am. The registration would close strictly at 10.30 am. Candidates must bring Original certificates (+2 Mark-sheet, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Birth Certificate, Residence Certificate & B.Sc. Nursing Degree Certificate – for Enterostomal Therapy), 01 sets of photocopies & 2 Passport Size photographs for counseling.

After the closing of registration, the Merit list among those candidates present for counseling on 28.03.2023 will be drawn based on the Marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Biology put together / B.Sc. (Nursing). Mark Candidates will be selected as per their merit ranking, and the remaining candidates would be wait-listed for a future vacancy if any.

The candidates should undergo Medical Examination and pay the fees on the same day, 29.02.2023. The course commences on 30.03.2023.

The candidates note that on completing the training course and evaluation by the Faculty of the Institute, JIPMER will certify them.

Stipend -

Stipend will be offered during the course period and the optional internship period (Rs.300/- per month) and Rs.3713/- per month during the optional internship period.
