Puducherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has notified about the Short Film Festival MEDICOFF 22 which is being organised by the Department of Medical Education, In Association with JIPMER Resident Doctors Association, and NTTC Alumni Association. 

The festival aims at Medical Education and Health Promotion Through Short Films.

The Medicina Corto Film Fest (MEDICOFFF 2022) is a short film festival organized by the DME in association with AANJ and JRDA to create awareness in the form of short films in medical education and health promotion among teachers and students of medical colleges. MEDICOFF is a first of its kind educational event organized with the support of residents keeping in mind how the 21st-century medicos acquire new knowledge and skills and to show the way forward. Combining medical concept with the art of film making enables the audience to explore, comprehend and enjoy the medical concepts. MEDICOFF provides a explore, comprehend and enjoy the medical concepts. MEDICOFF provides you a platform not just to showcase your talent, but also to inspire someone's life and create a positive impact in the society. Let us all unite to make this fest an unforgettable event and it is the time for 'Lights – Camera – Action'

Rules & Regulation

1. Deadline for submission of film is 15.03.2022.·

2. The film can be in any language with mandatory English subtitles. ·

3. Time limit should be strictly followed including credits display.·

4. Submissions will be via online mode using Google forms.··

5. Entry fee – Rs 300 per entry.·

6. Separate payments for each entry in case of multiple entries. ·

7. Entry fee once paid will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.

8. Nudity, explicit sexual content or vulgarity are not entertained·

9. Decisions made by our jury panel are final.·

10. JIPMER reserves the right to copy or use the material submitted by the participants for the promotional, educational and by the participants for the promotional, educational and archival purposes. Short film will be screened through our official Youtube channel.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the 'Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry' established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. The Department Of Medical Education (DME) formerly known as National Teacher Training Centre (NTTC) has been acclaimed as the pioneer in medical teacher training was established to promote training of health professionals in educational science and technology, apply systematic educational planning to medical education and conduct educational research.
