JIPMER reschedules Entrance Exam for PDCC, PDF Courses July 2021 session
Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the JIPMER has informed about the rescheduling of the Entrance Examination for PDCC and PDF Courses July 2021 session.
The candidates are hereby informed that in view of the current COVID-19 related restrictive measures, the entrance examination for the July 2021 session of PDCC & PDF Courses which was scheduled on 20.05.2021, has been postponed to 02.07.2021 (Friday).
The candidates who complete the MD/MS/DM/MCh courses on or before 31-07-2021 can also apply for the PDCC/PDF courses for July 2021 Session.

Indian candidates sponsored by Govt. (State/Central/Services)
A candidate applying for admission as a sponsored / deputed candidate is required to fulfill the following conditions duly certified by his/her sponsoring / deputing Authority / Employer for admission to the course in the discipline allotted. The candidate is required to submit the scanned copy of sponsorship certificate (Annexure-V).
In case, the applicant is not in a position to upload the sponsorship certificate at the time of submission of online application, he/she is permitted to upload scanned copy of sponsorship certificate (.jpg /pdf) using his/her user id and password on or before 03.05.2021 (Monday) 1.00 PM in the database. Non-receipt of scanned copy in the database of such candidate will lead to automatic rejection of his/her application and hallticket will not be generated/issued. The sponsored certificate should contain the following declaration by the sponsoring authority.
a) That the candidate concerned is a permanent or regular employee of the deputing / sponsoring authority, and should have been working for at least last three years (on or before 30th JUNE 2021 for July 2021 session)
b) After getting training at JIPMER, Puducherry, and the candidate will be suitably employed by the deputing/sponsoring authority to work for at least five years in the specialty in which training is received by the candidate at JIPMER.
c) No financial implications, in the form of emoluments/stipend etc. will devolve upon JIPMER, Puducherry during the entire period of his/her course and such payment shall be the responsibility of the sponsoring authority. Deputation/Sponsorship of candidates holding tenure appointments (like house job, Junior or Senior Residency, adhoc or contract or honorary appointment against a leave vacancy) shall NOT be accepted.
Deputation/Sponsorship of any candidate by private hospitals, institutes or nursing homes are not accepted. The sponsoring Institute should not nominate more than one candidate for each of the specialties specified in the distribution of seats in the discipline (Page No: 6 & 7)
Sponsorship / Deputation of candidates will be accepted only from the following:
a. Central or State Government Departments/Institutions
b. Autonomous Bodies of the Central or State Government
c. Public sector colleges affiliated to universities and recognized by the MCI. In case of candidate deputed/ sponsored by the Medical College affiliated to Universities and recognized by Medical Council of India, deputation/sponsorship certificate signed by the Principal of Medical College concerned ONLY shall be accepted.
Selection of sponsored candidates:
Sponsored/Deputed candidates are also required to appear in the common entrance examination. If selected for admission to any course of the JIPMER, these candidates are required to make their own arrangement for stay during the period of their course.
The sponsored candidates selected for admission will be granted only 1-month time to produce Sponsorship/Relieving/Study leave/NOC certificates from the date of documents verification. No further extension will be allowed at any cost.

1.Registration:
a.Click the link in the Home page www.jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link
"Application Link for PDF & PDC COURSES - July 2021".
b.FULL NAME entered by the candidate in the application must match with both his/her Govt. Photo ID Card (Aadhaar Card / Pan Card / Identity Card / Driver's License etc.) and MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate. (Spelling and order must be same – if it is not same, the candidate is advised to get it changed in the above-mentioned document/documents before applying)
2.Entry of candidate details & Uploading required documents:
Candidate details
The candidates should fill the details carefully. No request for change in the details provided by the candidate in the application will be considered or entertained after submission of the online application.
Photograph
a.Softcopy of one (1) recent colour passport size photograph with light background is required. Black & White / Polaroid photographs are not acceptable.
b.Photograph MUST be taken on or after 01.01.2021. The photograph must be taken with a placard held by the candidate indicating the name of candidate and the date of taking photograph. If the name and date are edited on the photograph after taking it, the application will be rejected. The name and date on the photograph should be legible.
c.Specifications of the photograph: 30 mm width × 45 mm Height, named of the file: "Candidate Photograph.jpg". Size of file: between 20 KB and 80 KB.
Signature:
a)Candidate has to sign on a plain white sheet in an area of 80 mm Width × 35 mm Height with a black ball point pen. The signature should be scanned, cropped to size of 80 mm Width × 35 mm Height and saved as "Candidate Signature.jpg". The file size should be between 20 KB and 80 KB.
3.Online Payment:
Application fees for each category as mentioned below should be paid by the candidate using online mode only. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

4.Confirmation page
a.The process of submission of application online is completed only after clicking the "submit button" after uploading candidate details, Scanned Photograph, and Signature.
b.The candidates are advised to download a copy of their filled in application which contains the application details.
c.Candidates need NOT send hard copy of the application to the Institute.
d.If the candidate finds an error of entry committed by him/her in the application after the submission of application fee, a fresh application should be submitted and the candidate should make the payment again. The earlier application will automatically stand cancelled. No E-Mail or Written communication will be entertained in this regard.

ØApplicant can opt for only three exam cities.
Ø The allotment of Exam City would be as per the order of preference clicked by applicant during online registration on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE basis.
Ø NO request for change of center by the candidate would be considered under any circumstances.
Ø The Exam City preference is only indicative and subject to change. Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research retains the final decision on the same and its allotment
Ø If an Exam city is cancelled due to non-availability of minimum number of candidates in that city, JIPMER shall do necessary re-allocation of candidates who have chosen that city to any other available centre/city. It will be binding on the candidates.
Ø Due to any unforeseen circumstances, any Exam City can be cancelled at any point of time and a newØ Exam City can be allotted by JIPMER en bloc with due intimation on website/text message.
Payment failure cases:
When a payment fails while paying the application fees, there could be two cases
1.Your amount is not debited –
In this case, you might receive a message from your bank that the payment could not be processed. You will also see the payment failure screen.
2.Your amount is debited –
In this case, you can send an email to jipmerfeljul2021@gmail.com and get to know the status of that payment.
Possible Reason(s) for Payment Failure:
Bad internet connection, Authorization failure, Authentication failure – Wrong details entered, Delayed notification, Payment gateway failure etc.
Sometimes, a transaction fails on the receiver's side, but the payment gets debited from the user's account. In such cases, the amount gets automatically refunded by the bank within 10-15 working days. Most banks do not notify users in case of refunds, so be sure to check your bank statement to ensure that the refund has been credited.
In the meantime, you can go ahead and make the payment again.
In case it takes a long time for refund, do send us a message to the following email id and let us know. The status of the refund will be intimated.

Hall ticket:
ØCandidates whose applications are complete in all respects can download their Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination from 04-05-2021 (Tuesday) 11 AM onwards. (Tentative)
ØThe Hall Ticket will contain
(1)Name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application
(2)Photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate
(3)Examination City allotted and Roll Number.
ØCandidates will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination only if he/she produces the hall ticket, Identity proof in original & a photocopy of the same.
Ø Candidates are STRICTLY PROHIBITTED from writing anything on the Hall Ticket and it will be collected at the Examination Center at the end of the Examination.
Ø This Hall Ticket is issued subject to condition that if ineligibility is detected at any stage, the candidatureØ will be cancelled.
Mock test:
Candidates are advised to go through the Mock Test for computer based Test (online examination)Ø Link for mock test and Candidate Experience video is available on www.jipmer.edu.in (PDF & PDCC Course Entrance Examination – 2021 link).
Entrance examination:
ØEntrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only.
Ø The duration of the examination shall be 1½ hours (One hour and Thirty minutes)
.Ø No candidate will be permitted to appear in the examination unless he/she holds a valid "Hall Ticket" issued by the Institute and an ID proof of their identification.
Method of entrance examination:
.Ø The examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium ONLY.
Ø The Entrance Examination consists of 100 single best response type multiple choice questionsØ (MCQs) having four options.

Instructions for candidates:
1.Reporting time at the exam venue: 07.00 AM. Entry to examination center closes at 08:15 AM. Entry will NOT be permitted beyond 08:15 AM under any circumstance. The exam venues will be in the perimeter of 25 to 30 km from the main city. The candidates are advised to visit the exam venue one day before the examination to faimiliarise with the location of the Exam centre.
2.Exam starts at 09:00 AM. Candidates will NOT be permitted to leave the exam hall before 10:30 AM (i.e. time of close of examination) except in case of acute health related issues.
3.Candidates should carry ONLY Hall Ticket along with Valid Identity proof (in original) and photocopy (Xerox) of the same ID proof inside the hall. No other paper will be allowed inside the hall. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter the examination centre without valid Hall Ticket & Valid ID Proof.
Valid ID Proof: ID Proof other than those mentioned below will NOT be permitted /accepted under any circumstances.

iii. Voter ID
iv. Driving License/ PAN Card
v. Any other valid Government Identity Proof with photograph
4 Candidates are advised to check the seating plan and identify the room / lab allotted as per their Hall Ticket number, which will be displayed outside the halls.
5. Candidates taking the Entrance Examination will be subjected to thorough frisking before being allowed into the hall.
6. Biometric authentication through digital device and hard copy of signature and iris scan / fingerprints in attendance sheet will be taken. Cooperation of the candidate is solicited. The candidates are strictly advised NOT to wear any colour or mehandi in their fingers which may interfere with biometric finger print (if required).
7. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Hall Ticket and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.
8. The candidate is solely responsible to get the signature and seal of the Centre Representative/ Invigilator on their Hall ticket. Failure to do so is liable for disqualification. Before leaving the hall, Hall Ticket and the photocopy of the ID proof should be handed over to Invigilator.
9. During the examination, the invigilator will check hall ticket of the candidates to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.
10. The candidate must sign in the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place and affix the Left Index Finger impression against the appropriate column of the attendance sheet. Failure to comply to this requirement will lead to the annulling of his/her candidature without any prior intimation.
11. Cellular phones, calculators, watch, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in-calculators / memory, ear phones and other electronic gadgets etc. will not be permitted inside the hall. Candidates are solely responsible for the safe keeping of their belongings. Arrangements will NOT be made by the duty staff for safe keeping and returning the gadgets if brought by the candidates.
12. Once inside the Examination Centre, premises, all candidates will be under surveillance & activities will be monitored. Hence, candidates are advised NOT to indulge into any unlawful activities which will invite disqualification & legal actions.
13. Smoking in the Examination Hall is strictly prohibited. Tea, coffee, cold drinks or food & snacks are NOT allowed in the Examination Halls.
14. For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of examination for any reason, reexamination shall NOT be held by JIPMER under any circumstances.
15. JIPMER reserves the right to reschedule the date / time of the examination depending upon local conditions.
Method of selection:
The Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the Entrance exam.
Awarding of Marks: -
Ø The response of the candidate for a question(s), on click of "submit button" before closing of Examination shall be considered as the response chosen by the candidate.
Ø Questions that are ANSWERED will be considered as ANSWERED.
Ø MARKED FOR REVIEW and ANSWERED will be considered as ANSWERED.
Ø MARKED FOR REVIEW and UNANSWERED will be considered as NOT ANSWERED.
Ø Each answer with CORRECT RESPONSE shall be awarded FOUR MARKS.
Ø ONE (1) Mark will be deducted for each INCORRECT RESPONSE.
Ø ZERO mark will be given for the questions that are NOT ANSWERED.
Ø The score such obtained will be the Raw Score
Ø This Raw Score will be used to determine Percentage [for the purpose of Eligibility using CutOffs and determining Merit / Ranking].
Ø Minimum 50% Marks in the entrance examination are required to be eligible for admission in PDF/PDCC courses.
Method of resolving ties:
If two or more candidates secure equal percentage in the entrance examination, their inter se merit shall be determined in the following order:
1. Negative Marks: - The candidate(s) who have less negative marks will be placed higher than that of the other candidate.
2. Age: If the tie still exists, the candidate elder by age will be ranked higher.
Merit list and declaration of results:
Merit Ranking would be based on the percentage score.
·Merit List would be drawn discipline-wise, based on Percentage and will be published tentatively on or before 27-05-2021 (Thursday) on JIPMER website (www.jipmer.edu.in)
·Candidates who secure less than the minimum Percentage in the Entrance Examination will NOT be considered for admission and their names will NOT be included in the Merit List.
· Requests for re-evaluation/re-checking will not be entertained under any circumstances.
· No E-Mail or Written communication will be entertained in this regard.
· In each discipline (specialty) the total no. of candidate to be called for certificate verification will be Three (3) times the no. of seats available in each discipline.
· Individual letters will NOT be sent to the SELECTED CANDIDATES and to those who are placed in the waiting list. Please check the website for the lists. Candidates and parents are advised to browse the website periodically for updated information. They will be required to attend Certificate Verification at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date.

Admission:
Admission to all candidates is based on the merit of the candidates and the availability of seats at the time of certificate verification. After admission, the Original Certificates will be retained in the Academic Section and returned only after the candidate completes the course or is relieved mid-way for any reason.
If a candidate withdraws his/her seat before issue of the admission order/before joining, a penalty of Rs. 50,000/- will be imposed and Admission fees paid will not be refunded.
All candidates should report on due date mentioned in their 'Allottment letter', failing which, they will forfeit the right of admission. At any time, if the competent authorities find that admission has been offered based on false/incorrect information/documents and suppression of relevant facts, educational qualification or quota, the admission offered or the admission already completed shall be cancelled, irrespective of the stage of study of that course. Further, legal proceedings will also be initiated against such candidates for such action/(s). Hence, Candidates are warned against indulging in such action/(s), in their own interest. All parents are also requested to make note of the above provision, and take due care and diligence, in all matters concerning admission to the courses.
No candidate will be admitted to the PDF & PDCC COURSES beyond 31st August 2021. Seats falling vacant beyond 31st August 2021 will not be carried forward to next session.

The Admission fees should be paid by each candidate at ACADEMIC SECTION, JIPMER on the day of documents verification after the completion of verification process.
Admission fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances.
