Madras HC Directs NBE to Ensure Ample Seats in TN for future NEET PG exam
Chennai: Responding to the PIL regarding the lack of NEET-PG examination seats in Tamil Nadu, the Madras High Court has recently noted that it was too late for the court to take cognizance of the issue as the exams were scheduled on April 18.
However, Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy has given direction to the authorities including National Board of Examinations (NBE) to address the issue for future examinations so that the candidates get to write their exams from their own States only. For this, NBE has been given directions to ensure more than necessary seats for the examination.
As per the latest media report by DT Next, the HC Bench while reviewing the matter has recently mentioned, "it is too late for the court to take cognizance of the issue and inject confusion in the already troubled system, wherein exams are scheduled on April 18."
