AIIMS INI CET 2025 July session- Here's exam paper analysis
New Delhi- All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi on Saturday, May 17, successfully conducted the Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INICET) 2025 (July session) in computer-based (CBT) mode at over 120 centres across India. The exam serves as a single gateway to MD, MS, MCh, DM and MDS programmes in AIIMS and other premier institutes.
As per a report by Shiksha, early feedback from coaching centre analyses and student interviews paints a “moderate‑to‑hard” picture, yet slightly easier than the previous session.. Most of the examinees took 150-180 attempts. The three-hour paper, which ran from 9 am to 12 noon, asked 200 multiple-choice questions.
The question style of INICET 2025 had more emphasis on clinical scenario-based topics; theory recall was limited. Biochemistry, Surgery, Microbiology and General Medicine dominated, while Obstetrics and Gynaecology had fewer questions this time. Some questions from previous years were repeated.
Meanwhile, the INICET July 2025 results are expected on May 24, 2025. The PDF of the merit list and individual scorecard will be available on the official website of AIIMS New Delhi. After the results are declared, counselling will be conducted for the qualified candidates. The counselling rounds will run four rounds, i.e. Mock, Round-1, Round-2 and Open Round.
Also, candidates must score the minimum cutoff to qualify for the exam. The qualifying cutoff varies as per the category. The qualifying INI CET 2025 cutoff for the general category is 50 per cent, while the cutoff for the reserved category is 45.
The candidates who will participate in the counselling should keep the following documents ready-
1 INI CET admit card & scorecard.
2 MBBS/BDS documents (original + copies).
3 Category / Economically Backwards Class (EWS) / Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) certificates (if applicable).
