AIIMS Raipur Invites Online Application For PDCC July 2023 Session, details

Raipur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Raipur) has invited applications through Google form for entrance examination for admission in the following Post Doctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC) July 2023 Session.

Eligible candidates may apply online between 03.05.2023 to 22.05.2023 through Google Form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf58d4Z52j4kZ1lx1LiDGyB8qcAvpvWwS-Rcn2bCDchAto59w/viewform  They can apply till 22.05.2023. The application form is enclosed in the notice below. The candidate has to upload a dully filled and signed application form (attached with this admission notice at the end) in Google form.

A candidate is allowed to apply for a maximum of two PDCC courses. Fill out a separate application for each course. In case of more than 2 applications, the first 2 applications submitted will be considered. Candidates note that their application will be treated as incomplete unless they pay the Application Fee.

Application fee -

1. General/OBC Category: 2500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.

2. SC/ST/EWS Category: Rs. 2200/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.

3. PWBD Candidates are exempted from fees.

Candidates get confirmation of the successful remittance from your bank and retain the proof that may be required during document verification. The application fee is non-refundable. The bank detail is enclosed in the notice below.

The candidate should save their photographs and signature in the following format -

If the candidate's name is A B, then -

1. For Photograph: A_B_Photo

2. For Signature: A_B_Sign

For the application fee, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWBD category must possess a certificate issued by a competent authority (as applicable to the category/format provided by AIIMS Raipur). OBC (NCL) certificate must be issued within one year of the last date for application 22.05.2023 (i.e., issued between 21.05.2022 to 22.05.2023).

EWS certificate should be issued on or after 01.04.2023 to the last date of filling out the application form, i.e., 22.05.2023, based on the income of 2022-2023. ST/SC/PWBD certificate should be issued before the last of the application, i.e., 22.05.2023.

Requirements for Admission of Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)

Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 are also eligible to appear in PDCC courses, and all terms and conditions for Indian Nationals will apply to the candidates. The candidate will submit proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 to be eligible to appear for this test.

34 seats are available for PDCC July 2023 Session. 11 sponsored seats and 23 non-sponsored seats. The sponsored seats include the following departments – Anaesthesiology and Paediatrics. The non-sponsored seats have the department of Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Microbiology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Radiodiagnosis.

Requirements for admission of "sponsored" candidates -

Candidates who are permanent employees of any Central/State Government/Armed Forces or the Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body can be sponsored by the respective Government/Defence Authorities or the Competent Authorities of the PSU/Autonomous Body.

A State Government can sponsor candidates only for that Fellowship Programme, which is unavailable in the State. A certificate regarding the nonavailability of the Fellowship (for which the candidate is being sponsored) in the concerned State, duly signed by the Secretary/Director General of Health Services of the Central / State Government/ DGAFMS/Competent Authority or PSU/Autonomous Body viz. The Director/Executive Head of the concerned organization should be furnished in the format prescribed for this purpose.

The Institute will call all eligible "sponsored" candidates for an entrance test.

As shown in the prospectus, seats are available for "sponsored" candidates. Sponsored candidates will be designated as "PDCC Fellow".

The subject for which the candidate is being sponsored should be specified in the sponsorship form by the sponsoring authority. The candidate can be sponsored for only one subject. The applications of candidates sponsored for more than one subject will not be considered.

 No "Sponsored" candidate will be paid any emoluments to the Institute during the training period. Such payments will be the responsibility of the sponsoring authority (i.e., Central/State Government or Defence Authorities).

Sponsored candidates must submit/send sponsorship certificates in original from their employers in the following format along with the application form to the Academic Section, Second Floor, Medical College Building, Gate No. 5, AIIMS Raipur, Tatibandh, Raipur. Those who fail to do so should submit it before the date of issue of Admit Cards as mentioned under "AT A GLANCE" in the Prospectus, failing which their candidature will be canceled.

Upper age limit -

1. Upper age limit is 45 years as on 1st July 2023.

2. Upper age limit is relaxable for OBC Candidates by a maximum of 3 years.

3. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST candidates by a maximum of 5 years.

4. Upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-Serviceman and Commissioned Officers, including ECO and SSCO, who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment with age relaxation by a maximum of 5 years.

Duration of course - One year. The training tenure is one year from the date of joining the course.

Scheme & schedule of examination –

1. Day and Date of Exam - 11.06.2023 (Sunday) (Written Examination) (Pen Paper Based)

2. Duration of Exam - 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM

3. Scheme of Examination - MCQ (Questions: 100 Max. Marks: 100)

4. Scheme of Marking - Correct Answer: One mark (+1), Not answered: Zero mark (0)

5. Exam Centre - AIIMS Raipur

6. Admit card – 31.5.2023

The candidates applying for two PDCC courses must appear for both examinations. Additional time will be provided for the second examination.

Method of selection -

The percentile scores will be used to determine eligibility for admission. The candidate must secure a 50th percentile mark to be eligible for admission. Merit list will be prepared as per percentile score.

Method of resolving ties -

If two or more candidates obtain equal percentile scores in the entrance examination, then their inter-se-merit for admission to the course shall be determined based on the following -

1. A candidate senior will rank senior to the candidate junior in age.

2. If the age is also the same, a candidate who has obtained higher marks (Aggregate) in the MBBS examination will rank senior to a candidate with lesser marks.

Joining -

The selected candidate is required to join on or before 15.07.2023. The competent authority may permit an extension of joining till 31.07.2023 based on the merit of each case. If the selected candidate fails to join by this date and no written request for extension is received by 31.07.2023, it will be assumed that he/she does not intend to join the course, and the seat will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.

The last date for admission to the course will be 31.08.2023. In any circumstances, the later date for admission will not be extended after 31.08.2023. This includes candidates on the wait list who may be offered a seat if the selected candidates does not join.

Pay as applicable to Senior Residents under Residency Scheme of

Government of India. However, sponsored candidates are not entitled for any Stipend /Emoluments.
