PM Modi road show in Bengaluru modified due to NEET exam tomorrow
Karnataka: Changes have been made in the schedule for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day roadshow in Bengaluru ahead of state assembly polls. The roadshow is scheduled for 6th May 2023 and 7th May 2023. The changes have been due to due NEET UG 2023 entrance exam being conducted on 7th May 2023.
The event on 6th May 2023 will be longer, and on 7th May 2023 will be shorter. While interacting with TOI, the Union Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje said, “PM Modi’s roadshow will be on May 6 and 7; preparations are on for it. We shared information in that regard with the public through the press. However, you (media) people informed us about the NEET Exam on May 7 at 2 pm, and the 26 km roadshow will cause inconvenience for (students writing) exams.”
She added that PM was informed about the same; he has asked to ensure that no NEET candidate should face a problem. He requested to make changes to the schedule. Now 26 km roadshow will happen on 6 May, and the 10km roadshow will happen on 7 May.
This year NEET UG will be conducted for 1872341 candidates at different centres located in 499 Cities throughout the country, including 14 cities outside India, on 07 May 2023 (Sunday) from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM (Indian Standard Time). To facilitate the candidates appearing for NEET UG 2023, advance intimation of the examination city where the examination centre will be located has already been shared on 30 April 2023.
The NEET-UG has been conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019 for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD.
