AP Gazatte notifies on seat sharing for PG Medical, dental admissions, check out details
Andhra Pradesh: The Andhra Pradesh Gazette (AP Gazette) has issued a notification related to amendments to the Andhra Pradesh un-aided non-minority professional institutions (regulation of admissions into postgraduate medical and dental professional courses) rules, 2017.
Under the sub-heading seat sharing and admission for clause (vii), the following shall be submitted -
The 50% of the sanctioned intake of the management quota seats shall be filled by the committee for admission constituted by DR YSR University of Health and Sciences, Vijayawada, with the eligible candidates based on inter se among the applicants qualified NEET PG/NEET MDS.
1. Management Quota- Subcategory 1:-- 25% of the sanctioned intake of seats, course-wise, in each member institution shall be filled by the candidates in General Merit based on the NEET ranking.
2. Management Quota- Subcategory 2:-- 15% seats out of total intake capacity, course wise, in each member institution shall be filled by foreign students/NRI/NRI sponsored candidates based on inter se merit among the applicants qualified in NEET.
3. Management Quota- Subcategory 3:-- 10% seats out of total intake capacity, course wise, in each member institution, shall be Institutional preference/In-service management quota seats filled based on inter se merit among the applicants qualified in NEET.
4. Provided in the case of the fraction of 0.5 between Management Quota Subcategory-1 (S1) and Management Quota Subcategory-2 (S2), the fraction is to be rounded up to Figure 1. It shall be rotated between Subcategory-1_ and Subcategory-2 seats in the alternate years starting from the academic year 2023-24, i.e., for the academic year 2023-24, if the seat is due to the fraction of 0.5 shall be meant for Management Quota Subcategorv-1 and in the next academic year 2024-25 the same seat due to fraction of 0.5 shall be meant for Management Quota Subcategory-2 by rotation and so on.
5. As per the discretion of the Competent Authority, the possible number of Mop Up rounds of counseling is to be conducted by Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences for PG (Medical)/ PG (Dental) Management Quota Subcategory-1/ Sub-category-2/ Sub-category-3 seats before the last date of admissions as per the NMC, New Delhi schedule.
6. No candidate shall be permitted to cancel/withdraw/resign from the PG (Medical) /PG (Dental) seat during Mop Up round counseling until the closure of admissions. Students allotted seats in Mop Up Round counseling shall— compulsorily join the college."
Under the sub-heading "Procedure for Grant of Admissions into PG [Medical, Dental] Courses under the Management Quota seats," for paras 1 to 20, the following shall be substituted, namely -
1. The Competent Authority shall constitute a Committee consisting of three members, i.e., one from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, one from Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and the other from APPMDCMA for Counselling/Admission into Un-aided Non-Minority Medical and Dental Colleges. The entire procedure shall be done under the overall supervision of Dr.YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
2. The Convener, Admission / Counseling Committee shall issue the notification in two National Newspapers, calling for applications from NEET-PG/NEET-MDS qualified candidates for admission to management quota (Sub-Category 1) and Management quota (Subcategory 2 and 3) in PG Medical / Dental courses separately. The Association Website shall display the admission process and the number of seats under the management quota.
3. He shall invite Online or Offline Applications in the form prescribed by it from the NEET-PG NEET-MDS eligible candidates for participating in Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for seeking admission to the Courses to management quota (Sub-Category 1) and (Sub-Category 2 & 3) separately.
4. He shall prepare a merit list from the eligible candidates who have applied to the Management Quota seats, online or offline, in the prescribed form for admission to Post Graduate Medical Courses and Post Graduate Dental Courses based on the marks at percentile in the NEET-PG examination or NEET-MDS examination.
5. The Convenor, Admission / Counselling Committee shall notify the Schedule of web counseling with the date and time for each category of Management Quota Seats on the University website with the entire due procedure.
6. The Selected candidate will be issued Provisional Selection Intimation with a direction to report to the concerned Principal within the date specified.
7. If a candidate opts for a seat and fails to pay the fee at the respective institution, the seat will be treated as vacant and filled in the 2nd Counselling.
8. If a selected candidate fails to report to the Principal within the stipulated time, the selection and Admission of the candidate will be canceled automatically, and the seat will be filled in the 2nd Counselling.
9. The allotted candidates shall report at the respective allotted colleges along with all necessary original certificates.
10. The Convenor, Admission / Counselling Committee shall notify the schedule of web options with the date and time for2" ° and Mop Up rounds counseling on the University website.
11. The College Fee shall be paid in the form of crossed demand draft -in the respective colleges.
12. The Candidates shall pay the prescribed Non - Refundable Application Fee, counseling fee, and University Fee.
13. The Candidates are bound by the Regulations to be made by the Association about Admission, Cancellation, and Withdrawal from the Course.
14. The APMDCMA shall constitute a Grievance Redressal Committee composed of a Dean / Principal of a Medical / Dental College, one eminent person in public service, and one member nominated by the university. Any grievance as to the determination of their merit and entitlement for admissions, cancellation of seats, refund of fees, return of documents, etc., the students or the colleges concerned must approach the Grievance Redressal Committee headed by a Principal/Dean/Director of a Medical/Dental college and the decision of Grievance Redressal Committee shall be binding on both Parties.
15. All institutions shall display their fee structure on the college notice board and College Website. ,
16. The college shall pay the PG (Medical and Dental) students the stipend per the regulations of NMC / DCI / Andhra Pradesh State.
17. All the candidates admitted into management quota seats in unaided private medical/dental college, on completion of their postgraduate course, shall work for one year as 'Senior Resident' in the institution where they pursued postgraduate course,"
