BAMS, BHMS Admissions: ACPUGMEC releases schedule, guidelines, instructions for Round 5 online choice filling, allotment

Ahmedabad: Through a recent notice, the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Education Courses (ACPUGMEC) has informed about the 5th round of online choice filling and allotment of BAMS and BHMS candidates for this year UG AYUSH admissions.

All the concerned candidates are hereby requested to view the schedule, guidelines and instructions as mentioned below

Process for Participation for 5th Round

• All the candidates, included in the Merit-List of ACPUGMEC, can participate in 5th round.

ACPUGMEC

• According to the Merit Closure Rule of UG Admission Rules, in the 5th and subsequent round, the candidate will not be offered admission on the seats available according to his/her merit in the allotment process of the previous Round

• To participate in the fifth and subsequent round, the candidates have to log-in into the website www.medadmgujarat.org using their User-ID and Password to give ONLINE CONSENT for participation in the fifth and subsequent round.

• Flow chart for Online Consent Choice filling: CHOICE DETAILS → Consent and Fill Choices → I Accept → PROCEED

• If the candidate, who has confirmed the admission of the previous round and has given consent to participate in the fifth and subsequent round, has been allotted new different seat, the admission of the previous round will get automatically canceled.

• If a candidate takes part in fifth round of ACPUGMEC and his admission do not get upgraded then his admission of the previous round will be continued.

•The candidates who want to confirm his allotted seat in state Quota, he has to cancel his confirmed admission of 15% SFI AIQ seat within the scheduled time at 15% SFI AIQ help center. Thereafter proceed for confirmation of allotted State Quota Seat at State Quota help center within Scheduled time (till 1.00 PM on 13th February 2021).

• The candidates who want to confirm his allotted seat in 15% SFI AIQ last round, he has to cancel his confirmed State Quota Seat within the scheduled time at State Quota Help center. Thereafter proceed for confirmation of allotted 15% SFI AIQ seat at 15% SFI AIQ help center within Scheduled time (till 1.00 PM on 13th February, 2021).

Guidelines for Choice Filling

• Online allotment of seats is done on the basis of merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council

• Choice can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria

o Course of choice

o Institute/Place of choice

o Government or Self-financed Institute

Tuition fees

• Candidates are instructed to fill all the available choices irrespective of the institute's status (permitted /recognized) so that during the process of allotment if any institute gets permission you can get admission in that seat. 

• In the choice filling of the Second and subsequent round, the Allotment of seats will be carried out as per the Closure of first round, irrespective of choices filled in by the candidate of the first round 

• Closure of present round will be displayed along with allotment result of that round

• If a candidate is failed to confirm the admission on allotted seat due to any reason, such candidate shall not be allotted same type of seats in the same institute in the successive rounds of counseling

• For Online Choice Filling, visit the website: http://medadmgujarat.org/

• Click on the "Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy" tab under "Undergraduate Admission". A new window will appear on the computer screen.

 • Click on the "Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic" button. A new window will appear on the computer screen. ["Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic" 

• Click on "Candidate Registration/Login". A new window will appear on the computer screen. ["Candidate Registration/Login"

• Enter your USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14 Digit PIN, Captcha & Click on Submit button. A new window will appear on the computer screen. 

• Click on "CHOICE DETAILS". 3 options will be displayed as below. 

o Available Choice: you can see all available choices 

o Fill Choice: to start your choice filling process 

o Print Filled Choice: after locking your choices you can take a printout of your choice list 

• Click on "Available Choice" to start the process for choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen

• CHOICE AVAILABLE: You can see all available choices. You can filter out the choice based on options are as under

o Branch: MEDICAL/ DENTAL/ AYURVEDA/ HOMEOPATHY

o Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT (GQ) / MANAGEMENT SEAT (MQ) / NRI SEAT (NQ) 

• Click on "Fill Choice" to start the process for choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen

• Box 1: Filter your choices by Branch, institute, institute type, and seat type.

o Branch: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS

o Institute type: Blue color – Govt. and Grant-in-aid Institute; Green color – Self-financed

o Seat type: GQ - Government Seat institute MQ: Management Seat NQ: NRI Seat 

 o Institute: Name of a particular institute

• Box 2: Add your choices, you can add an unlimited number of choices

• Box 3: You can re-arrange your choices by serial number

• Box 4: You can delete all filled choices and can start choosing new choices again

• Click "add" in left side panel ⇒ choice will be shifted to a right-side panel

• SAFE CHOICE: To save your filled choices

• SAVE & EXIT: To save your filled choices and exit from the choice filling the page

• After save and exit choices page, you can review your choices. Click on "Modify Choices" to modify your choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., you can lock your choices after clicking on "Lock Choices"

• Box 1: Candidate must take print-out of locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will consider print-out of your locked choices only

• Box 2: You can Un-Lock and modify your filled choices after entering 14-digit PIN No. till the time and date decided by ACPUGMEC. [ACPUGMEC

• If you fail to lock choices it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling

For the convenience and maximum benefit of the students, the admission process for the 5th round of State Quota and 15% SFI AIQ for BAMS / BHMS seats and the second (final) round of 15% SFI AIQ is being organized by ACPUGMEC simultaneously.

Students who want to participate in the fifth round of State Quota will have to login from http://www.medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx website with their User ID and Password and make a Choice Filling.

Students who want to participate in the second (final) round of 15% SFI AIQ will have to login from http://www.medadmgujarat.org/ug/UGAYUS_Home.aspx website with their User ID and Password and make a Choice Filling.

Students who wish to participate in the admission process for both types of seats (State Quota and 15% SFI AIQ) will have to login from both the websites using their User ID and Password and make a different Choice Filling.

A student who has been confirmed in the first round of the 15% SFI AIQ seat and wants to confirm the seat allotted in the fifth round of his State Quota, has to cancel his confirmed 15% SFI AIQ seat within the stipulated time limit. (Dt. 19/06/2071, 1.00 pm) You have to confirm the allotted seat at the Help Center for State Quota.

Similarly, a student who has been confirmed for admission to the State Quota seat and wants to confirm the seat allotted in the second (final) round of his 15% SFI AIQ, has to cancel his admission to the State Quota seat within the stipulated time limit. Within the stipulated time limit (dated 19/06/2071, by 1.00 pm) 15% SFI will have to confirm the allotted seat at the help center for AIQ.

In short, the student will be able to retain / confirm the admission to any one seat (State Quota or 15% SFI AIQ) and the other admission will have to be canceled.

This second round of 15% SFI AIQ is the final round. After this the student will not be able to cancel his / her admission to the confirmed 15% SFI AIQ seat.

Admission will not be confirmed until the student pays the prescribed tuition fee for the seat allotted to him / her and submits the original certificates at the prescribed help center within the prescribed time limit.

ACPUGMEC will do allotment of seats of Ayurveda and Homeopathy colleges, which have received permission from respective councils, during the process of allotment of the fourth round. The colleges, which has not been permitted till date, will be included in the next round as per their permission status. Students are advised to do choice filling of all their preferred colleges (irrespective of permission of colleges). [ACPUGMEC will be able to allocate seats in the fourth round only to the Ayurvedic and Homeopathy colleges which are recognized by the Council. So the college which has not been recognized till date will be included in the next round and will be allotted to the students when the recognition comes. In each round, students are asked to fill out a college of their choice (whether it is currently valid or not).
