Beware of Admission Frauds: IP University Issues Alert Against Touts Promising Direct Admissions
New Delhi- Through a recent notice, the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)- IP University, the university has asked the aspirants to be aware of touts promising direct admissions to the university.
The University has asked the candidates to be aware of touts as GGSIPU has received complaints from some candidates and their parents that some agents/touts are claiming to be representatives of the colleges/institutions affiliated with the university. These agents/touts are promising the candidates direct admission to various programmes in the affiliated colleges/institutions of the University and therefore asking these candidates to transfer money through various apps and also demanding cash. These agents/touts are promising direct admission to the affiliated colleges/institutions by sending messages/emails/WhatsApp messages to the candidates, the university said.
In this regard, the university has issued an official notice advising all the parents/candidates to not fall prey to such messages being sent by agents/touts who have fraudulently obtained access to the telephone numbers/emails of the candidates. However, candidates are also advised not to share their login ID and password details with anyone during the entire counselling process.
