Schedule for 2nd round of UG Medical/Dental online Punjab State counseling under NEET UG-2025 | ||
1. | Display of tentative vacancy position of seats for 2nd round of counselling | 27.08.2025 |
2. | Date for fresh online registration/application and deposition of application and security deposit for fresh applicants alongwith fee of Rs. 5900/- (Rs. 2950/- for SC candidates) including 18% GST through university payment portal. (All registered candidates (including fresh) who are interested to participate in 2nd Round will have to submit willingness alongwith security deposit for 2nd online counseling. Failing which their candidature will not be considered. Note: The aspirant can correct/edit in online application form multiple times till the last date i.e. 28.08.2025(upto 03:00 PM). 3. | The last date for submitting willingness alongwith security deposit for 2nd round of counselling by all the candidates (already registered candidates and fresh applicants). 4. | Last date of correction/editing in online filled application form. Note: Since, fresh applications are invited for 2nd round of online counseling under NEET UG 2025 from 27.08.2025, hence already registered candidates of 1st round counseling (if any) and fresh registered candidate who intends to edit any Category/Minority Quota/other particulars will give request/application personally in the Admission Branch, BFUHS on 28.08.2025(upto 03:00 PM) alongwith relevant proof for consideration in 2nd round of online counseling as last chance. 6. | The candidates who will apply under Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar / Christian Medical College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The candidates who have already got verified their minority status at the time of 1st counseling, need not report to the respective institute for verification again. The candidates who have already registered under Minority Quota during 1st counseling and did not get their minority status verified, can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for 2nd round of counseling alongwith documents and fee receipt | 27.08.2025 to 28.08.2025 (upto 05:00 PM) |

Sports Category: As per Notification No. e(723871)MER-HTH305C/9/2025-5HB3/712 dated 09.08.2024 issued by the Deptt. of Medical Education and Research, Govt. of Punjab, fresh applied candidates will submit the hard copy (two sets) of online applied application alongwith sports gradation certificate issued by the Director Sports, Punjab and relevant proofs of sports achievement alongwith academic certificates on 28.08.2025(upto 04:00 PM) personally in Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, failing which their candidature will not be considered under Sports Category Merit.
Note: The candidates who have already applied under sports category but did not submit the hard copy, can submit the two sets of hard copy of online application form alongwith sports gradation certificate issued by the Director Sports, Punjab and relevant proofs of sports achievements alongwith academic certificates on 28.08.2025 (upto 04:00 PM) personally in the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, failing which their candidature will not be considered under Sports Category Merit.
The following candidates are eligible for 2nd Round of allotment:
Candidates eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round would be from one of the following groups:
Group–I: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round.
Group-II: Registered candidates who have secured seat & whose 1st round of allotted seat got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category.
Group–III: Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.
Group-IV: Candidates who have been allotted a seat during 1st round but Not Joined.
Group-V : Candidates who have resigned in online mode within the time frame from the allotted seat of first round at college.
The following candidates are not eligible for 2nd Round of allotment:
(a) Candidate who has become non-eligible due to having inadequate documents as per Eligibility Criteria as per Punjab Govt. notification/MCC- UG
(b) Who have not registered in Round 1 or Round 2.
Note :
1. Candidate will submit willingness and security deposit as per the rules & regulations of Government of India posted on www.mcc.nic.in. Only those candidates will be considered for 2nd round who will submit willingness by depositing requisite security amount for participation. The candidates to whom seats are allotted in the 1st round of counseling will also submit the willingness to participate in the 2nd round of online counselling, however, the fee deposited by them will be adjusted and they will have to pay the remaining amount of security deposit. Those who have already paid tuition fee more than Rs. 10000 (5000/- of SC/BC) for Govt. colleges and Rs. 200,000/- for Private colleges, need not to pay security deposit again. The consent/willingness is mandatory to participate in 2nd round.
2. Candidate to whom seat will be allotted in 2nd round but they do not report/join at the college may exit with forfeiture (i.e. The security deposit will not be refunded in such case).
3. Candidates who will not join the allotted seat in Round 2 will be eligible for further rounds of counselling but the security amount deposited for 2nd Round will be forfeited and applicant will have to register fresh and will have to deposit the fresh security deposit for 3rd round alongwith. The provisions with regard to security deposit and eligibility for participation will be as per information bulletin posted on MCC website.
4. The security deposit will be refunded only in case no seat will be allotted in 2nd round of counselling.
5. Candidate will have to submit fresh choices/preferences for Round-2 online counselling within stipulated date and time. Thereafter it will get automatically locked. Choices submitted during Round I will be treated as null and void.
6. Once the choices are locked, it cannot be modified and any request to BFUHS regarding accepting/changing the choices will not be entertained.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs).
1. After joining Second Round of Counseling, whether one can leave/ Resign the allotted seat?
Once the applicant join the 2nd round seat, he/she will allowed to leave/resign the seat within stipulated period but the security deposit will be forfeited.
2. If a candidate does not report at the allotted college during Round 2 whether he/she has to register again for Round 3?
Yes, Candidate security amount will be forfeited and he can participate in Round 3 only with Fresh registration and security deposit.
3. Whether the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3?
Yes, the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3 but once, the candidate will join the upgraded seat in Round 3, he/she cannot resign/leave the seat.
4. If the candidate does not join the allotted/upgraded seat during Round 3, whether the security deposit will be forfeited?
Yes, the security amount will be forfeited.
5. When will conversion of seats to open merit will be carried out?
The conversion of seats of NRI and any reserve category after exhausting all candidates in relevant category will be carried out during the Round 3. The said conversion will be done only when the eligible Candidates belonging to the said Conversion Category have exhausted.
