CENTAC invites registrations for NEET PG stray vacancy round, check round 3 admitted list, vacancies

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has invited registrations for stray vacancy round of PG medical admissions 2025.

In addition, the CENTAC has released the Round 3 admitted list for PG Medical (MD/MS) courses for the 2025-26 academic year, giving clarity to hundreds of aspirants awaiting confirmation of their seats.

The newly published list includes candidates allotted seats under Government Quota, Management Quota, and Telugu Minority Quota in medical colleges such as Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (IGMC&RI), Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College, and Sri Venkateswara Medical College. The document provides detailed information including candidate names, NEET PG roll numbers, ranks, allotted branches, and admission status.

Alongside the admitted list, CENTAC has also shared the updated vacancy position.

Stray Round Registration to the first year PG Medical (M.D./M.S.) courses in Government and Self Financing Medical colleges in the UT of Puducherry is open. Using dashboard login credentials, candidates can register for the Stray Round after referring to the vacancy positions published on the CENTAC website.

Option for submission of willingness to participate in the Stray Round, link for payment of FULL Tuition Fees as prescribed for PG Medical (M.D./M.S.) courses and filling of Course Preferences under Government (GQ) and Management (MQ) Quota will be enabled from 20.02.2026 to 23.02.2026, 5.00 pm.

Eligibility for Registering for the Stray Vacancy Round

All candidates in the CENTAC merit list excluding

1. Candidates who are in the admitted list in Round 3 (joined in Round 1 or Round 2 also) of All India Counselling or any State Counselling.

2. Candidates who have been allotted any seat in Round 3 of CENTAC counselling.
3. Candidates who have been allotted any seat in Stray Round of All India counselling.

MOST IMPORTANT

1. In the Stray Round, it is mandatory for the candidates to join the allotted seat.

2. If a candidate is allotted a seat and if he / she fails to join the allotted seat, then the entire Tuition Fee amount prescribed for the Course, Quota & Category will be forfeited. Further, he / she will be debarred from appearing for the NEET PG exam next year.
3. A list of such INELIGIBLE candidates will be published on the CENTAC website after the Stray Round admissions.
4. Candidates in the Round 3 admitted list will not be permitted to resign their admitted seat.
5. Candidates in the Round 3 admitted list will not be permitted to participate in the Stray Round to transfer their admitted course.

Submission of Willingness, Payment, Declaration and Course Preferences

Candidates may participate after submitting willingness, payment of Full Tuition fees as applicable and filling of Course preferences before 23/02/2026, 5.00 PM. If the course preferences list is empty or if the candidate has NOT paid the Full Tuition Fee, the candidate will NOT be considered for allotment.

Step 1 : Login into candidate’s dashboard

Step 2 : Submit willingness for Stray Round
Step 3 : Using Payment Link pay Full Tuition Fee / balance of Tuition Fee if any Registration Fee was paid in previous Rounds
Step 4 : Select colleges and submit course preferences
Step 5 : View and download application and check course preferences submitted
Step 6 : Logout from candidate’s dashboard

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

1. Candidates opting for PG Medical (M.D./M.S.) need to pay the FULL TUITION FEE.

2. Candidates who paid the Registration Fee and were NOT allotted a seat in Round 2 / Round 3, need to pay the balance of Full Tuition Fee, as applicable, for Stray Round and submit course preferences.
3. For candidates who paid the Registration Fee and were allotted a seat in Round 2 but did not join, the Registration Fee paid was forfeited as applicable for the allotted seat. So, carefully check the dashboard for forfeiture and pay the Tuition Fee.

TUITION FEE

To participate in the STRAY ROUND counselling, candidates are required to pay the Full Tuition Fee fixed as below:

** Reduced FEE structure for some of the Non-Clinical courses in Private Self-financing Colleges is published on the CENTAC website. Therefore, the students are advised to make payments accordingly. The seat allotment will be done ONLY based on payment of FULL TUITION FEE for the respective courses in the STRAY round.

Candidates should transfer the full Tuition Fee to the CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS (preferably RTGS) challan using the payment link in their dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding for payment.

SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES

1. The course preferences submitted in Round 3 are null and void and all candidates registering for the Stray Round should submit course preferences AFRESH.

2. Sliding will be NOT allowed in the Stray Round.
3. The Candidate is solely responsible for filling course preferences. No request for change in course preferences will be entertained, after the last date for the Stray Round registration.
4. No seat will be allotted if course preference is not submitted and left empty.

CRITERIA FOR REFUND / FORFEITURE

⮚ For a candidate who is NOT allotted a seat, the Full Tuition Fee paid will be refunded.

⮚ For a candidate who is allotted a seat and joins the course, the Tuition Fee applicable for the course will be transferred to the college, and balance Fee, if any, will be refunded.
⮚ For a candidate who is allotted a seat and fails to join the course, the Tuition Fee for the allotted quota and course will be forfeited, and the balance fee, if any, will be refunded.
⮚ Therefore, it is advised that the candidate makes a thoughtful decision before submitting course preferences for the Stray vacancy counselling.
⮚ All REFUNDS will be initiated ONLY after completion of the entire NEET-PG counselling process.
SMS has also been sent to the candidates for information.
