CENTAC issues notice on Round 2 registration, choices for NEET PG, MDS admissions

Puducherry: Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) informed about PG Dental and PG Medical round 2 counseling registration and submission of course preferences. The list of vacancies after round 1 and round 1 admitted list was also released.

All students registered with CENTAC and all the candidates allotted during round 1 (joined /not joined) are eligible for round 2 counseling. For round 2, filling of preferences for Management& Government Quota will be enabled from 3rd November 2022 to 4th November 2022, 4.00 pm.

As per CENTAC, after filling the Telugu Minorities Management Quota Seats, the remaining unfilled seats will be converted into All India Management Quota and filled. Accordingly, course preferences for Management & Government Quota need to be given afresh.

The candidates note that the round 1 admitted seat automatically gets canceled if the seat is allotted in round 2.

Seat matrix –

PG Dental - 30 seats were allotted, out of which 10 were filled, and 20 were left vacant after round 1.

PG Medical -  246 seats were allotted, out of which 37 seats are filled, and 209 seats are left vacant after round 1

Eligibility –

1. The candidate must have passed the final MBBS. Examination (for MD/MS) and BDS examination (for MDS Course) from any recognized Institution / University and must have completed a satisfactory one-year compulsory rotating internship as of 31st March 2022 (for MDS Course) and 30th June 2022 (for MD/MS Course) and must submit their internship completion certificate at the time of admission.

2. To become eligible for admission, a candidate must obtain a minimum required percentile in NEET-PG/NEET-MDS-2022, as prescribed by regulatory authorities such as the National Board of Examination, National Medical Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, etc., as the case may be.

NEET-PG and NEET – MDS counseling is conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
