DME Chhattisgarh begins resignation, seat surrender process for MBBS, BDS admissions 2025

Chhattisgarh: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has released an important notice for candidates admitted to the NEET UG 2025 MBBS and BDS courses, regarding resignation and seat surrender procedures after the completion of counselling rounds.

The circular, issued by the DME Chhattisgarh in this regard, provides detailed instructions and timelines for candidates who wish to resign or surrender their allotted seats.

As per the notification, candidates who were allotted seats in the Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2025 counselling can now complete their registration or seat surrender process from today till tomorrow, i.e. 10 November 2025 (Monday) and 11 November 2025 (Tuesday). The process will be conducted offline at designated centres during the specified dates only.

Through the circular, the DME also clarified that during this period, no penalty or deduction will be applicable on the security deposit or tuition fee, except that the registration amount will be forfeited to the state treasury. In addition, candidates surrendering their seats will also have to pay 10% of the tuition fee to the respective institutions as per the rules.

DME Chhattisgarh further emphasised through the circular that this facility will be available only on the mentioned dates (10–11 November 2025), and students must appear in person at their respective centres to complete the formalities.

DME Chhattisgarh had recently concluded the scrutiny and admission process for the third round of counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions 2025.
