DME Chhattisgarh invites applications for round 2 NEET PG counselling, 326 seats up for grabs
Chhattisgarh: The Directorate of Medical Education, DME Chhattisgarh, has released an official notice inviting online applications and choice filling for the second round of State Quota counselling for MD and MS admissions 2025.
The notification applies to admissions against vacant seats left after Round 1 allotment in government and private medical colleges across the state.
As per the notice issued by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, eligible candidates are required to complete fresh online application and institute choice filling for Round 2 counselling through the official portals of DME Chhattisgarh. According to the schedule, the online application window opens from today i.e. 1 January 2026, 11:00 AM to 3 January 2026, 11:59 PM.
Meanwhile, the candidates who were already registered in Round 1 must also re-submit their choice preferences, as earlier choices have been automatically nullified. The DME has issued several important clarifications-
Candidates who resigned or exited counselling earlier, as per the applicable rules, will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds.
Candidates who opted only for government medical colleges in Round 1 and now wish to choose private medical colleges must pay the applicable difference in registration fee before exercising fresh choices.
If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 2 but fails to join or resigns after joining, the registration amount will be forfeited.
Candidates are advised to exercise choices carefully and select only those institutes where they are genuinely willing to take admission.
Along with this, the notice is also accompanied by a detailed list of clear vacancies, showing over 300 MD/MS seats available across multiple specialties. The vacancy list includes State Open Quota, Institutional Quota, and NRI Quota seats, offering candidates a wide range of options in Round 2. According to the CG NEET PG (MD/MS) 2025 Round-2 Clear Vacancy list, a total of 326 seats are vacant for MD/MS course.
