 Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) informed about ineligibility of candidates who appeared for round 2 of the NEET UG counseling.

As per the notice as the instructions of the Medical Counseling Committee, Ministry of Health, Government of India, New Delhi, as well as the order of the Supreme Court, the following candidates will not be able to participate in further rounds of counseling process –

1. The candidates who have been admitted to any Medical/Dental College until the completion of the second round of the Admission Committee paid the prescribed tuition fee and original certificates at the Help Center of the Admission Committee.

2. The candidates reporting/joined with admission order by depositing (Joined in the first round and not upgraded in the second round or joined by fresh admission in the second round) from any counseling (admission round) of the next admission committee/All India Quota.

The above types of candidates note that their admission will not be canceled under any circumstances. Also, their name will be reduced from the merit list.

Eligibility –

1. Candidates must be NEET UG qualified.

2. Candidates must be Indian citizens.

3. Candidates who have cleared their class 10+2 examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject.

4. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December 2022.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The test is conducted once a year.

The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that DME issued details related to round 2 allotments and reporting for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS courses. The rank-wise allotment results and the list of candidates who require reporting have also been released.
