DME Gujarat Issues notice on resignation of Allotted Round 1 MBBS, BDS Seats

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) issued a notification about resigning the allotted seat for candidates of round 1 MBBS and BDS courses.

As per the notice, candidates who have got admission/confirmed their admission to MBBS and BDS courses in round 1 of the Admission Committee and have deposited the tuition fee as per rules in HDFC Bank and deposited the original certificates in the help centre designated by the Admission Committee, have confirmed the admission, if they want to cancel their admission, they can go to the Help Center designated by the Admission Committee (where the original certificates are deposited). The cancellation can be done till 18 November, 1:00 pm.

The candidates who have reported/joined admission in any Medical/Dental College till the completion of the 2nd round of the Admission Committee, after paying the prescribed tuition fees through a designated bank & have conformed to their admission after submission of original documents with the help centre and have taken admission order. All such candidates will not be allowed to participate in further state counselling (admission round)/ All India Quota counselling.

Those candidates who are reported/joined in the 1st round and whose admission is not upgraded in the 2nd round will not be allowed to participate in the next round of the admission committee.

Eligibility –

1. Candidates must be NEET UG qualified.

2. Candidates must be Indian citizens.

3. Candidates who have cleared their class 10+2 examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject.

4. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December 2022.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The test is conducted once a year.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that DME released the seat matrix for NEET PG and MDS admission. A total of 49 seats are available for round 2. Non-converted MD/MS/Diploma round 2 seats due to reduced cutoff have 42 seats, and Non-converted MDS round 2 seats due to reduced cutoff have seven seats.
