DME Gujarat Releases Schedule For Choice Filling Of Stray Vacancy Round For MBBS, BDS Admissions

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has released the schedule for the 4th online stray vacancy round choice filling for NEET UG (MBBS, BDS) courses. The list of colleges in which vacancies are available has also been released.

Detailed schedule –

1. Choice Filling – up to 24/09/2023 01:00 pm

2. Display of Choices filled by candidates - 24/09/2023 up to 05:00 pm

Instructions for choice filling –

The Admission Committee informs that Choice filling for the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round has been started. To participate in this round, the candidate has to give “ONLINE CONSENT” from his login and fill in the new choices again. All the old filled choices of the candidate have been canceled & removed.

In this round, if a candidate is allotted an MBBS/BDS course & does not confirm admission, he/she will not be eligible to participate in the next rounds of BAMS/BHMS. If any seat of the MBBS course remains vacant in the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round, the Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the Admission Committee.

The candidates who have been allotted MBBS/BDS courses seats in the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round & have not confirmed their admission, their refundable security deposit will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round if conducted by the Admission Committee for MBBS course. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of BAMS & BHMS courses.

Candidates who have been allotted seats of MBBS/BDS courses in the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round & have not confirmed their admission These candidates will be eligible to participate in the Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round if conducted by the Admission Committee for the MBBS course.

To participate in the Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round, candidates must log on admission committee website, www.medadmgujarat.org using their User-ID and Password, and give “Online Consent” to participate in the Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round. In the Extended 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round, no new registration or new choice filling will be allowed by the Admission Committee. Online allotment will be done by considering the choices filled by the candidate in the 4th Online Stray Vacancy Round.

Guidelines for choice filling –

Online allotment of seats is done on the basis of merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.

Choice can be decided by the candidate on the following criteria –

1. Course of choice

2. Institute/Place of choice

3. Government or Self-financed Institute

4. Tuition fees

Candidates must fill in all the available choices irrespective of the institute’s status (permitted /recognized) so that during the process of allotment if any institute gets permission, they can get admission in that seat. For online choice filling, visit the website: http://medadmgujarat.org/.

Click on the “Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy” tab under “Undergraduate Admission”. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Click on the “Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “Candidate Registration/Login”. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Enter your USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14 Digit PIN, Captcha & Click on the Submit button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Click on “CHOICE DETAILS”. 3 options will be displayed as below –

1. Available Choice: The candidates can see all available choices

2. Fill Choice: to start the filling process

3. Print Filled Choice: after locking the choices, the candidates can take printout of their choice list

Click on “Available Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

CHOICE AVAILABLE: You can see all available choices. You can filter out the choice based on options as under –

1. Branch: MEDICAL/ DENTAL/ AYURVEDA / HOMEOPATHY

2. Institute Type: GOV/ SFI / GIA

3. Seat Type: GOVERNMENT SEAT(GQ) / MANAGEMENT SEAT (MQ) / NRI SEAT (NQ)

Click on “Fill Choice” to start the process of choice filling. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

Filter your choices by Branch, institute, institute type, and seat type –

Branch: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS

1. Institute type: Blue colour – Govt. and Gant-in-aid Institute; Green colour – Self-financed institute

2. Seat type: GQ - Government Seat; MQ: Management Seat; NQ: NRI Seat

3. Institute: Name of particular institute

Add choices, the candidates can add an unlimited number of choices. The candidates can re-arrange their choices by serial number. They can delete all filled choices and can start choosing new choices again.

Click “add” in left side panel ⇒ choice will be shifted to the right-side panel

SAVE CHOICE: To save filled choices

SAVE & EXIT: To save your filled choices and exit from the choice filling page

After saving and exit the choices page, the candidates can review their choices. Click on “Modify Choices” to modify choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., they can lock their choices after clicking on “Lock Choices” The Candidate must take a print-out of the locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will consider print-out of your locked choices only. They can Unlock and modify their filled choices after entering 14-digit PIN No. Till the time and date decided by ACPUGMEC. If they fail to lock choices, it will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.

Process for participation –

All the candidates, including in the Merit List of ACPUGMEC, can participate in the 4th Online (Stray Vacancy) Round, irrespective of the admission status of the candidate of the previous round, except those who have been secured and joined admission in Round 3 of All India Quota through Medical Counseling Committee (MCC)/ who have been allotted, reported and joined in Round 3 of State Quota for MBBS/BDS courses.

If any candidate has not taken part in the 1st/2nd/3rd rounds in ACPUGMEC, they can also do fresh registration in the 4th Online (Stray Vacancy) Round and participate in the 4th Online (Stray Vacancy) Round.

To participate in the 4th Online (Stray Vacancy) Round, the candidates have to log-in into the website www.medadmgujarat.org using their User ID and Password to give online consent for participation in the third round.

If the candidate, who has confirmed the admission of the previous round of the BAMS/BHMS course and has given consent to participate in the 4th Online (Stray Vacancy) Round, has been allotted a new seat in the MBBS/BDS course, the admission to the first or second round will get automatically canceled.

The list of colleges in which vacancies are available has also been released. 236 colleges are there in the list. Non-eligible candidate list has also been released. The detailed lists are enclosed in the notices below.
