Tamil Nadu: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu) opened the application window for admission to Post Doctoral Fellowship Course in Minimal Access Surgery at Madras Medical College, Chennai and Post Doctoral Fellowship Program In Gynaec Oncology At The Institute Of Obstetrics And Gynaecology, Chennai.

As per the notice, the last date to submit the online application form is 26.12.2022, 5:00 pm and the last date to receive the hard copy of the application is 27.12.2022, 5:00 pm.

Application forms, along with the Prospectus, can be downloaded from the following websites –

1. www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in

2. www.tnmedicalselection.org

The detailed address - THE SECRETARY, SELECTION COMMITTEE, 162, E.V.R. PERIYAR SALAI, KILPAUK, CHENNAI – 600 010.

Filled in online application forms along with necessary enclosures to be sent to "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10" before the last date along with a Demand Draft for Rs.2,500/- towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10" payable at Chennai.

Candidates should send the filled-in online application form and all enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover. The template with requisite details available for download should be printed and pasted on the cover. Non-Service Candidates should send their applications directly to the Secretary Selection Committee at the above address.

Service candidates should send their online printout applications through the proper channel with the forwarding authority's remarks and the service particulars carefully filled up by the forwarding authority as prescribed in the application form. Application of the Service candidates who have completed two years of continuous regular service as of 30.11.2022 alone will be considered. The Heads of Departments have to issue a Certificate of completion of the required service. The application should be within the stipulated time.

The Selection Committee will assign AR Number. Candidates can track their applications on the above website by entering their Permanent Medical Registration Number or MS Final Year University Examination Register Number and year of 1st appearance.

Candidates must enclose only self-attested Photocopies of the following documents in the order indicated below, along with the filled-in application form, failing which the application is liable to be rejected –

1. The Postgraduate course completion certificate from the parent College where the candidate had undergone the post-graduate degree course.

2. Post Graduate Degree Certificate / provisional certificate awarded by the University concerned to which the institution is affiliated.

3. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate of the MBBS Degree.

4. Additional qualification registration certificate for Post Graduate degree issued by the All India Medical Council or State Medical Council

5. Post Graduate Degree attempt certificate obtained from the institution where the candidate completed their PG Degree.

6. Eligibility certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University for candidates who have qualified from other Universities. This shall be produced at the time of counselling when called for.

7. TNPSC/MRB (selected through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order (For Service Candidates.)

8. Nativity certificate ( if applicable ) with supportive documents

9. NEET SS 20scorecardard issued by the National Board of Examination

Candidates are instructed to produce the above-mentioned original Certificates / Documents at the time of counselling for certificate verification.

Eligibility –

Minimal Access Surgery –

1. The Candidate must be a Citizen of India and a native of Tamil Nadu.

2. Candidates from other States are not eligible to apply.

3. Candidates who have studied Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

4. Candidates who studied from other States are eligible to apply, provided that they shall produce the Nativity Certificate from Tamil Nadu.

5. However, candidates from other States who have studied in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply, provided they do not claim nativity in their State and give an undertaking to that effect at the time of admission.

6. Candidates must have qualified in NEET SS 2022 in the Specialty of "SurgicGastroenterologyogy" conducted by the National Board of Examination(NBE)

7. Candidates who hold an M.S. (General Surgery) of the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent to the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University and included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 or who hold DNB (General Surgery) from the National Board of Examination and who has obtained complete registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils are alone eligible to apply for Post Doctoral Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery Course.

Gynaec Oncology –

1. The candidate must be a Citizen of India and a native of Tamil Nadu

2. Candidates who are natives of other States are not eligible to apply.

3. Candidates who have studied Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in Tamil Nadu can apply and need not produce the Nativity Certificate.

4. Candidates who have studied in other States shall produce the Nativity Certificate from Tamil Nadu.

5. Candidates must have qualified in NEET -SS- 2022 in the Specialty of "Gynaec-Oncology" conducted by the National Board of Examination(NBE).

6. Candidates who hold M.S. (O&G) / M.D. (O&G) of the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University and included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 or who hold DNB (O&G) from the National Board of Examination and who have obtained complete registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils are alone eligible to apply for Post Doctoral Fellowship Program in Gynaec-Oncology.

Seats –

1. Minimal Access Surgery – 4

2. Gynaec Oncology – 2

Duration of the courses –

1. Minimal Access Surgery – 2 years

2. Gynaec Oncology – 2 years

Merit list –

Minimal Access Surgery – The Secretary Selection Committee will prepare the merit list based on the marks secured in NEET SS 2022 in the Specialty of "Surgical Gastroenterology."

Gynaec Oncology - The Secretary Selection Committee will prepare the merit list based on the marks secured in NEET SS 2022 in the Specialty of "M.Ch.(Gynaec Oncology)."

Method of selection –

1. The selection will be made by counselling based on merit only, and no communal reservation will be followed.

2. 50% of seats are reserved for service candidates in addition to those service candidates who have been selected in the open category.

3. If no Non-service candidate opts, the same will be allotted to service candidates.

4. If no Service candidate opts, the same will be allotted to Non-service candidates.

The fee to be paid -

1. The candidates who are selected at the timcounsellingeling will pay the total fees of Rs.100000 for the two years Post Doctoral Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery Coe of by way of Demand Draft drawfavourfavor of the DEAN, MMC, MINIMAL ACCESS SURGERY payable at Chennai, at the time of receipt of the allotment order. This fee is not refundable.

2. The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall pay the total fees for the two years Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme in Gynaec-Oncology, a sum of Rs.100000 by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the "The Director, Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Chennai" payable at Chennai, at the time of receipt of the allotment order. This fee is not refundable.

Discontinuation fee –

The candidates who discontinue the course shall pay discontinuation fees RS 5 lakhs by Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai -10", payable at Chennai.

Fee structure for both the courses -

1. Tuition Fees - 30,000/- p.a.

2. Library Fees - 10,000/- p.a.

3. Annual Appraisal Fee - 10,000/- p.a.
