DME Tripura Updates About NEET UG Choice Filling For Round 2, Merit List Announced
Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) updated about NEET UG choice filling for round 2. The provisional merit list for the round has also been announced.
As the Choice filling for round 2 is not running smoothly, so the schedule for choice filling is extended up to 13th November 2022 till 11:59 pm.
Since it also has come to the notice that there is a problem in differentiating the candidature of domicile candidates in Govt. and-Govt MBBS seats in the choice filling, the option for Choice filling for every seat ( including Govt and non-Govt MBBS seats) will be made available to all domicile candidates.
The candidates note that the provisional allotment will be in accordance with the uploaded eligibility and security deposit documents.
The provisional list fo the r round has also been announced. The detailed list is enclosed in the notice below.
Eligibility criteria –
1. The candidates must be Indian Citizens and Permanent residents of Tripura.
2. Children of All India Services Officers borne in Tripura Cadre and the Children of the Employees of the State Government posted outside Tripura will be eligible to appear at the Counseling irrespective of their prior stay in Tripura.
3. In case the candidates are not permanent residents of Tripura, but their parent is either on deputation as an Officer/employee to the Govt. of Tripura or an Officer/employee of the Central Govt. working in Tripura and has served in Tripura continuously for three years or more before appearing in the qualifying examination from any School/Institute of Tripura.
4. In the case of wards of Ex-servicemen, either the candidate or their parents must have been staying in Tripura continuously for not less than five years immediately before the date of making the application for appearing at the NEET Examination.
5. Children of serving Defense Personnel (Army/Navy/Air Force) hailing from Tripura are also allowed to appear for Counseling, provided that their children should have stayed in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 (five) years immediately before the date of making application for appearing at the NEET.
The Directorate of Medical Education under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Tripura, started functioning on 15th October 2011. This Directorate deals with matters relating to Medical Education, like Medical Colleges, Regional Pharmacy Colleges, Nursing Colleges, in Government and Private Sector, Nursing Education, and Paramedical Education; in addition, Post Graduate courses in respect of some medical colleges are conducted by this Directorate.
