New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), has announced the launch of new para-medical and medical programmes for the academic session 2026-27, expanding its academic offerings in key healthcare fields.

The newly introduced courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes in areas such as clinical psychology, emergency medical technology, epidemiology, rehabilitation psychology, speech-language pathology, and optometry, aimed at meeting the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.

The University has decided to introduce certain new Para-Medical and Medical Programmes from the Academic Session 2026-27. Details are as below:

2 Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical & Trauma Technology (B.Sc EMTT) 164 The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) as subjects. Physics (30%) Chemistry (30%) Biology (40%) i.e (20%Botany & 20% Zoology)
3 Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS)/ Master in Applied Epidemiology 165 MD (Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine/Community Medicine) OR MD/ MS (Clinical or Para-Clinical); OR MBBS with Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical, Paraclinical, or Public Health from any recognized institution with 3 (three) years of public health experience/working in National or State Health Programs; OR MBBS from any recognized institution with minimum 5 (five) years' work experience in public health/working in National or State Health Programs OR BDS/ BVSc with Master in Public Health (MPH) from any recognized institution OR BVSc with Master of Veterinary Sciences (MVSc) in Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology with 3 years of public health experience/working in National or State Health Programs 1. Basic Epidemiology - 60%; 2. Basic Bio-statistics - 40%
4 MA (Clinical Psychology) 166 4 years B.A/B.Sc. degree in Psychology from a university recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential, as per GOI. The candidates who have completed their graduation programme in 3 years shall have to pass fourth year Bridge Course or first year of Masters Programme in Psychology with minimum of 55% marks to be made eligible- As per RCI Norms & Guidelines SECTION A: General Awareness (Logical Reasoning & Research Aptitude) Marks: 20 or (30%) SECTION B: Subject Oriented Psychology Awareness Marks: 50 or (70%) Entrance Test Weightage: 70% - 70 marks Interview Weightage: 30% - 30 marks (Grand Total 100 marks)
5 Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP) 167 a. Bachelor's degree (regular mode) with general psychology courses in all the three years OR; b. Master's degree in any branch of psychology either in regular or distance mode OR; Master's degree in counseling psychology either in regular or distance mode with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a UGC recognized university. For SC/ST/OBC category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential. SECTION A: Language (English): 60 Marks -30%; SECTION B: General Awareness Test: 60 Marks (30%); SECTION C: Subject Oriented Fundamental Psychology Awareness: 80 Marks (40%)
6 M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology (M.Sc.SLP) 168 The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with science stream SECTION A: Language (English) (20%) SECTION B: General Awareness Test (20%) SECTION C: Numerical & Scientific Aptitude (Basic Math & Science) (20%) SECTION D: Biology (20%) SECTION E: Subject Oriented Fundamental Psychology Awareness (20%)
