Gujarat DME Extends Choice Filling Date For Round 1 NEET counselling

Gujarat: Candidates of NEET UG can fill in their choices for round 1 till 28th October 2022, 5:00 pm. The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has announced this on the official website.

As per the notice, candidates can change/swap/add/delete the filled choices of their 1st round.

Guidelines for choice filling –

1. Online allotment of seats is done based on merit cum choice in institutes permitted by the concerned council.

2. The candidate can decide on the following criteria: Course of choice/Institute/Place of choice/Government/Self-financed Institute/Tuition fees.

3. Candidates are instructed to fill all the available choices irrespective of the institute's status (permitted /recognized) so that during the allotment process, they can get admission in that seat if any institute gets permission.

4. The candidates can add an unlimited number of choices. It can be re-arranged as per choices by serial number.

5. Filled choices can be deleted, and new choices can be filled.

6. In the choice filling of the Second and subsequent rounds, the allotment of seats will be carried out as per the Closure of the first round, irrespective of choices filled in by the candidate of the first round.

7. Closure of the current round will be displayed along with the allotment result.

8. If a candidate fails to confirm admission to the allotted seat for any reason, such candidate shall not be allotted the same type of seat in the same institute during successive rounds of counselling.

10. Candidate must take a printout of locked choices. Whenever any query arises, the committee will only consider printouts of your locked choices.

11. If the candidates fail to lock choices, they will be automatically locked on the last day of choice filling.

Process for choice filling –

1. Click on the "Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy" tab under "Undergraduate Admission". A new window will appear on the computer screen. [Undergraduate Admission - Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic & Homeopathy].

2. Click on Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic button. A new window will appear on the computer screen—[Apply for Admission in Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, and Ayurvedic].

3. Click on Candidate Registration/Login. A new window will appear on the computer screen. [Candidate Registration/Login].

4. Enter your USER ID (Sr No. of PIN), Password, 14 Digit PIN, and Captcha & Click on Submit button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.

5. Click on "CHOICE DETAILS". Three options will be displayed.

6. Available Choice: candidates can see all available choices. The candidates can filter the choices as per branch - medical, dental, Ayurveda, and homoeopathy/institute type – GOV/SFI/GIA, seat type – government seat/management seat/NRI seat.

7. Fill Choice: start the choice-filling process.

8. Save Choice: To save filled choices.

9. Save & Exit: Save your filled choices and exit from the Choice filling page.

10. After saving and exiting the choices page, choices can be reviewed. Click on "Modify Choices" to modify choices. After typing 14-digit PIN no., candidates can lock their choices after clicking on "Lock Choices."

11. Print-Filled ChoicCandidatestes can take printouts of their choice l after locking choices.
