KEA Begins Round 2 Counselling For NEET PG, NEET MDS Courses, 2393 seats vacant
Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has already begun the round 2 counseling process for NEET PG and NEET MDS courses. The detailed allotment schedule and seat matrix have been released along with the schedule for the document verification process.
The detailed allotment schedule –
1. Rearrangement of options (Modify / Alter / Delete the options) - From 2.00 pm on 15-09-2023 21-09-2023 up to 8.00 pm
2. Publication of 2nd round allotment results - 22-09-2023 after 9.00 pm
3. Payment of fees and collection of Allotment order - 23-09-2023 to 25-09-2023
4. Last Date for Reporting at the Allotted Medical / Dental College against seat allotted in 2nd Round - 25-09-2023 before 5.30 pm
The following candidates are eligible for round 2-
1. The candidates who have joined the allotted seat in the first round / second round of All India Quota will not be eligible to participate in the state counseling.
2. Already verified candidates only, those who are holding verification slips issued by KEA, only submission of original documents.
3. Eligible candidates have to produce all the original documents as per the verification slip along with (a) PGET-2023 application printout, (b) Annexure-1, 2, and 7, (c) Choice-2 and Choice-3 printout as applicable.
The candidates note that the fee paid by Choice 2 candidates will be adjusted upon selection of a seat in this round. Balance fees, if any, should be paid by the candidates.
There is no choice selection in round 2, hence, the candidates who get allotment in the second round have to compulsorily report to the allotted college, as the seat allotment is based on the priority of options as entered by the candidates.
The Choice 2 candidates of the first round, if the seat is upgraded, will report to the new college, or if the seat is not upgraded, will report to the previously allotted college. Not reporting to the allotted college should not be presumed by the candidates that they have surrendered the seat to KEA. This is tantamount to the blocking of seats, and it attracts a penalty, The government shall initiate legal action in accordance with the law against those candidates who fail to take admission in the college allotted in round 1 or round 2.
The document verification process is being carried out, and the process started on 13.9.2023 and will continue till 20.9.2023.
