KNRUHS Begins Process Of Exercising Web-options For Second Phase Of MBBS Counseling; 761 Seats Vacant

Telangana: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has begun the process of exercising web options for the second phase of MBBS counselling. The vacant seat details for the second phase, consolidated provisional final merit after sending phase registration, and non-reported lists after the first phase have also been released.

All the eligible candidates whose names are displayed in the Provisional final merit list for Management Quota on the KNRUHS website can exercise web options for admission into MBBS seats up to 2.00 P.M. on 19.09.2023 through the website

Candidates whose names are notified in the provisional final merit list of MBBS/BDS Admissions under Management Quota notified on the KNRUHS website on 16.09.2023 are eligible to exercise web - options online with the following conditions –

1. The candidates who were allotted seats in the first phase of counselling and have not reported/discontinued the MBBS course at the respective college are not eligible for exercising options.

2. Candidates who have not exercised web options in the first phase of counselling are not eligible to exercise web options.

3. The candidates who were allotted MBBS seats in the previous phases of counselling and joined the course and continuing in the course are eligible to exercise web options and are informed to exercise web options.

4. Candidates who have joined the MBBS course up to the mop-up phase of counselling for the Competent Authority Quota are not eligible for exercising web options.

In the Management Quota B Category 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates of Telangana State, and 15% of seats are open to candidates from all over the country. 15% unreserved seats shall be allotted first, followed by seats reserved for local candidates in Management Quota B category seats.

The seats in Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences are distributed in accordance with the “Telangana State Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act”, Act no. 11 of 2018.

There is no limit to choices (number) for exercising web options. Candidates can exercise web options for any number of colleges the candidate is interested in joining as per the candidate's eligibility. Candidates must exercise web options for MBBS seats in all colleges in which they are interested in joining, irrespective of available vacant seats shown in the seat matrix, as vacancies will arise during the counselling process due to the sliding of candidates from allotted seats in previous phases of counselling to other seats as per their web options in the mop-up phase of counselling.

Candidates have to exercise options for the B category and if eligible for the C (NRI) category in order of their priority for category and college. Allotments will be made according to the order of preference in the web options exercised by the candidate.

One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile at the time of saving web options. The password consists of SIX letter code with English capitals A to Z (for details, read instructions to the candidates before giving options.

Candidates will be considered only for the category/categories to which they have registered (B or B/NRI).

The allotment of seats will be made in accordance with the selection procedure notified in Government Orders G.O.Ms.No. 115 & 116 HM&FW (C1) Dept. Dated: 05-07-2017, G.O.Ms.No.117 & 118 HM&FW(C1)Dept. Dated: 20-07-2017, subsequent amendments, G.O.Ms.No.125, 126, 127, HM&FW (C1), Department, Dated:22-09-2022, GO.Ms.No.130 HM&FW (C1) Department, Dated:27.09.2022, other Government orders, University Regulations and relevant Hon'ble Supreme Court and High Court orders.

If candidates are allotted a seat in the MBBS course as per their options and do not join the course, they shall not be permitted to exercise web options in subsequent phases of counselling and admission to prevent seat blocking.

If a seat is allotted in this phase of counselling as per web options exercised by the candidate in this phase of counseling, the seat allotted in the first phase of counselling will be automatically cancelled and allotted to the other candidate.

Management Quota B &C (NRI) seats in Un-aided Private Minority Medical Colleges are reserved for Muslim Minority Candidates only. In case Muslim Minority Candidates are not available, the seats may be filled up with Non-Minority students up to a maximum of 30% during the final phase of counselling.

Candidates will receive an SMS message on their registered mobile after the allotment of a seat if allotted. Candidates are also informed to log in to check their allotment status through website after each phase of counselling.

The selected candidates shall download the allotment letter from the website after payment of the University fee by gateway method by using the online payment method (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking). Candidates should check their allotment details and report to the Principal of their respective college on or before the date specified on the allotment letter.

Selected candidates have to report to the Principal of the respective college before the last date for joining as specified on the allotment letter, submit all original certificates, and relevant bonds and pay the tuition fee/college fee to complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not fulfil the above criteria to complete the admission process within the specified date for joining, the admission will be cancelled automatically, and the candidate's options shall not be considered for the subsequent phase of counseling and admission to prevent seat blocking.

If the candidate slides to another college during the second phase of counseling in colleges affiliated with KNRUHS, the original certificates will be sent to the college concerned after the closure of admissions. Candidates have to get relieved from the first phase, join the college, obtain a custodian certificate, collect fees and report to the allotted college before the last date of joining. Candidates who do not join the course at the allotted college in this phase of counseling are not eligible for further phases of counseling.

The final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted college, and in case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be cancelled, and action may be initiated as per University Regulations. Candidates allotted a seat under the NRI Quota should produce the relevant sponsorship letter from an NRI relative in Original, along with a copy of their passport/ Residence Proof/Bank Statement or passbook of the sponsor for the NRI Category at respective colleges.

Original certificates submitted at the time of admissions shall not be returned to the candidate unless the candidate discontinues the course before the second phase of counseling. If the candidate slides to another college during the second phase of counseling, the original certificates will be transferred to the allotted college.

Candidates admitted up to 2nd phase shall be permitted for upgradation up to the mop-up phase of counselling. They will not be allowed to participate in any further rounds of Counseling after joining in the Third Round of the State Quota.

University fee –

Allotted Candidates have to pay the following University fee through the payment gateway by using an online payment method (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking) and download the allotment letter. Candidates who have paid the University fee in the first phase of Management Quota need not pay again.

1. For B- Category - Rs. 40000

2. For C-Category (NRI) - Rs. 70000

Tuition fee –

1. Tuition fee is to be paid at respective Medical colleges.

2. The tuition fee payable as notified by the Government of Telangana in GO Ms No:106, HM& FW (C1)Department, Dated:28. 07.2023 (notified on KNRUHS web site) and G.O.Ms.No.132 HM&FW Dept Dated:18.08.2023( for Deccan College of Medical Sciences.

3. For Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences: Tuition Fee Rs:15 lakhs per annum for B Cat and Rs:22.5 lakhs per annum for C/NRI Cat as per G.O.Ms.No 40, Higher Education (UE) Dept Dated:20.06.2023.

Vacant seats –

For the second phase of counselling, a total of 761 seats are vacant. The local has 213 seats vacant, UR has 150 seats, and NRI has 398 seats vacant. The detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.
