MBBS, BDS Admissions 2025: NTRUHS extends deadline for NRI quota document submission, details

Vijayawada: The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Vijayawada, has given aspiring medical students more time to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions under the NRI quota for the 2025-26 academic year.

The notice in this regard has been released with respect to the Admissions into MBBS & BDS courses for the academic year 2025-26 under category “c” / NRI quota in-

1) New Government Medical Colleges permitted from the academic year 2023-24 onwards;

2) Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS; and

3) Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (Under SVIMS), Tirupati. 

In its notice, the university said, "the last date for uploading relevant / valid documents as per prospectus in respect of the Candidates who are found in the Final Merit list of Management Quota (Category-B1 /B2) and wish to apply for Category-C(NRI) seats after Phase-II with late fee of Rs.5900/- including GST @18%, is extended upto 04.00 PM on 20-10-2025. However, there is no change in other terms and conditions already notified."

Earlier, the university had informed that a total of 200 MBBS seats were newly added to the Gayathri Vidhya Parishad Institute of Health Care & Medical Technology, Visakhapatnam. Of these, a total of 100 seats are vacant for the Competent Authority (Convener) Quota.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that with NMC permission, the Government Medical College, Ongole, now has 150 (Enhancement of seats from 120 to 150)- 30 Additional MBBS seats were permitted after Phase-I Counselling; Anna Gowri Medical College & Hospital, 100- New College permitted after Phase-I Counselling and Santhiram Medical College, Nandyala now has 200 MBBS seats (Enhancement of seats from 150 to 200)- 50 Additional MBBS seats were permitted after Phase-I Counselling.
