Issuing a notice on August 10, MCC extended the choice-filling window once again- reportedly for the seventh consecutive time. MCC extended the choice filling till August 11, when MCC was supposed to release the result of round 1 seat allotment on August 11 as per its revised schedule released on August 8, 2025.
Social media users addressed such repeated extensions and expressed their disappointment over the issue. They accused MCC of experimenting with the timetable and playing with the future of NEET aspirants.
Slamming MCC, one user wrote on X, "MCC, stop the delay drama! We cleared NEET, we’ve waited long enough — and now you keep pushing counselling dates again and again. This is our future, not your timetable experiment."
"Pathetic planning by MCC. NEET UG MBBS counselling choice filling extended 7 times! This delay is unfair to students. State counselling shouldn't be held hostage—give it priority," wrote another user named Sakthivel.
Accusing MCC of its lack of coordination, the X handle named Medical_NEETUG wrote, "This is what NEET UG students are asking as MCC counselling turns into chaos. No coordination, no rules followed. Future doctors are in distress. PM Modi ji, is this the system we promised our youth?"
A user named Chaudhary blamed the National Medical Commission (NMC) and wrote in an X post, "@NMC_IND planned big fraud is going at mcc in NEET UG counselling in 2025. The choice filling time is being extended unlimited without any reason, to accommodate those who are paying heavily to MCC. Extending time after 24 hours of deadline have no justification."
Addressing the Union Education Minister, one X user named Mohan Khyadi expressed that he was deeply disappointed with MCC for rescheduling NEET UG counselling 6 times in under 4 weeks.
Another X user named Upasana Ray wrote, "@WhyUppu 7th extension and counting — MCC is speedrunning “How to waste students’ time.”"
Amid such repeated extensions, the candidates are eagerly waiting for the Round 1 allotment results. Only after the results are declared, the candidates will be able to report to the allotted institutions for admissions and consequently, the colleges will complete the process of verification of data.
