MCC notifies 2423 clear, 5605 virtual vacancies in round 2 NEET SS counselling 2025
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the clear and virtual vacancy seat matrices for Round 2 of the NEET SS Counselling 2025 covering DM, MCh and DrDNB SS courses, giving candidates a fresh picture of the seats that may be available for allotment.
Alongside the vacancy lists, MCC has also added 6 newly approved super speciality seats at IPGMER Kolkata, which candidates can now include while filling their Round 2 choices.
For candidates preparing their preference lists, the two vacancy documents are particularly important.
Through the notice, MCC informed candidates that it had received information regarding additional seats to be included in the Round 2 matrix.
All six newly added seats are at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER), Kolkata, and are under the following courses-

MCC stated that the three DM Neonatology seats were added on the basis of information received from the institute as newly approved seats. The three MCh Surgical Gastroenterology seats were also newly approved and were added following information received from NBEMS.
The committee has confirmed that these seats have already been incorporated into the Round 2 seat matrix, allowing eligible candidates to exercise choices for them during the ongoing choice-filling process.
With the addition of the six newly approved seats at IPGMER Kolkata, candidates have further options to consider while preparing their preference order. MCC has specifically stated that the newly added seats are available for choice filling.
