New Delhi- Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed all the Postgraduate (PG) Counselling candidates who have participated in the All India Quota (AIQ) PG Counselling 2024 that the refund of Security Deposit of stray vacancy and Special Stray vacancy Round of PG Counselling who are eligible for refund as per MCC rules and regulations / counselling scheme has been made by the financial custodian.

On this, MCC has also released a list of candidates whose Security Deposit of stray vacancy and Special Stray vacancy Round of PG Counselling has been refunded. The list has been released in a PDF format on the official website of MCC. The list includes important details such as roll no, refund amount, refund ARN, refund Reference no and refund date. As per the list, a total of 9012 candidates’ Security deposits have been refunded.

Meanwhile, candidates are advised to note that the refunds have been sent to the same account / Card from which the security deposit was remitted to MCC. The refund will be credited to the candidate's account between 1 to 15 days, depending on the level of automation in the candidate's bank.

In addition, if there is an inordinate delay in crediting the refund, the candidate should take up the matter with the "Grievance Cell" of his/her bank, quoting the refund reference. However, in case of any refund-related queries, candidates can contact the MCC finance department. Direct queries to MCC regarding Refund/ Payment will not be entertained.

The candidates must keep their card/bank account active till the refund process is completed. If the card/bank account is closed before the completion of the refund, the bankers will not be able to complete the refund process. Since bankers will take a long time to identify & return the failed refunds to the Financial Custodian and legal formalities are to be complied with for initiating a refund to a different bank account, a refund to a new bank account will take a very long time. Neither Financial Custodian nor MCC will be responsible for such a delay.
