MP NEET PG Counselling: Check out Seat vacancy position, Advisory for Round 2
Madhya Pradesh- The Director of Medical Education (DME) of Madhya Pradesh is conducting the 2nd round of MP State Combined National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) i.e. MD and MS courses for the academic year 2024-25. In this regard, MPDME has issued an advisory for the candidates who are participating in the second phase of counselling.
The MP State Combined NEET PG 2nd Round Counselling process started on 01 January 2025 and will end on 13 January 2025. In which, the process of fresh choice filling and locking options for the 2nd round process is ongoing, which is going to end on 06 January 2025. Therefore, all eligible candidates must compulsorily register for fresh choice filling and choice locking within the schedule, the advisory directed.
In addition, in the second phase of counselling, local residents of Madhya Pradesh (Domicile) and candidates who are residents outside the state (non-domicile) will be able to do choice filling and choice locking for allotment. However, in the second phase, the seat will be allotted first to the local resident (domicile) candidate of the state. Only if the local resident candidate is not on the merit list, the seat will be allotted to the candidate from outside the state (non-domicile) as per merit.
The advisory further advises that they should keep their list of options ready before entering their options so that they do not face any confusion while filling in the options on the portal. Candidates should not fill in the options of those colleges whose prescribed fees they are unable to pay.
After this, the candidates admitted in the 2nd round and those candidates of the 1st round who have opted for upgradation in the second round can submit their willingness for upgradation for the MOP UP round through the candidate login from 09 to 13 January 2025. Therefore, except for the candidates admitted in the first round and the candidates who resigned from the seat after taking admission in the first round, other candidates who are willing to make changes in their registration done before the first round counselling for any reason will be given the last opportunity to make necessary changes in their registration within the prescribed time limit before the second round counselling. No other opportunity will be given to the candidates after the expiry of the prescribed time limit.
Meanwhile, to participate in the second phase counselling for state quota seats of postgraduate courses, eligible unreserved category candidates will have to deposit Rs 25,000 for government colleges and Rs 12,500 for reserved category candidates online as advance fees at the time of second phase choice filling. An advance-fee of Rs 2 lakh will be payable for choice filling of private colleges. For NRI quota candidates, this fee will be Rs 10 lakh. However,
Further, as per the schedule, the in-person reporting process at the allotted medical college for document verification and admission will also be done from 09 to 13 January 2025. Therefore, in the second phase, the newly allotted candidates and the candidates whose college or subject or category has been upgraded are required to take admission to the newly allotted institute within the stipulated time limit. Even in the case of upgradation (subject or category) in the same institute in which admission has been done in the first phase, the candidate will have to complete the online admission process again.
Along with this, online resignation/admission cancellation for admission at the college level in the first and second rounds can also be done from 09 to 13 January 2025. Therefore, in case of resignation from the institution admitted in the second round, Rs 02 lakh will be confiscated as a penalty.
Apart from this, candidates admitted in the second phase and candidates admitted in the first phase, who have not been upgraded in the second phase, can opt for upgradation for the mop-up phase. Candidates who had opted for upgradation but were not upgraded in the second phase will remain in the previously admitted institute, they will not have to take any action. Such candidates can opt for upgradation for the mop-up phase.
As per the advisory, candidates who had opted for upgradation in the second phase but did not fill their choice in the second phase, such candidates will remain admitted to the seat allotted to them in the first phase but such candidates will not be eligible for upgradation in the mop-up phase.
After this, the allotment result will be released, and the candidate will be able to download the allotment letter from his/her login ID and take its printout. With this, the newly allotted candidate will have to personally appear at the allotted institute for admission and get his/her original documents verified by the admission committee of the allotted institute. The candidate declared eligible will have to submit all his/her original documents to the admission committee.
