NBE releases round 2 FNB 2025 counselling seat matrix, details
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the indicative seat matrix for Round 2 of online counselling for admission to Fellowship of National Board (FNB) courses for the 2025 admission session.
The matrix gives candidates a hospital- and speciality-wise picture of seats available after the completion of Round-1. It records the seats initially offered, those accepted and frozen, seats retained with an upgradation request, rejected seats, and the resulting true and virtual vacancies for Round-2.
The Round-2 seat matrix covers a wide range of fellowship programmes. According to the seat matrix, a total of 684 seats were offered in Round-1; a total of 222 seats were accepted, freeze & reported Seat (Round-1), 240 total seats were accepted & chosen to upgrade seat (Round-1), 2 seats were rejected Seat (Round-1), 222 true vacancies (Round-2) and 240 virtual vacancies (Round-2).

The seats are spread across government, central government, state government, private, ESI, railway and defence institutions in several states and Union Territories.
The seat matrix is purely provisional. Candidates have been advised to contact the respective hospital or visit its website to confirm the applicable bond policy before submitting their preferences.
