NEET 2020 cutoff percentile reduced for BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS admissions
New Delhi: The Ministry of AYUSH has reduced the NEET 2020 cutoff percentile for admission to BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses for this academic year.
As per the official notice recently released by the ministry informing about the effect, the reduced NEET cutoff for admission to AYUSH courses can be used for central and state-wise admissions. The decision to reduce the percentile was taken in view of the several requests received from the UG AYUSH candidates.
NEET 2020 cut off for general category candidates has been reduced to 40th percentile. While for SC/ST/OBC and PH students, it is now 30th and 35th percentile, respectively.
In its notice, the Ministry has clearly mentioned that it had received various representation requesting to reduce the required percentile criteria in the NEET-2020 in order to be eligible for admission in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy (ASU & H) UG courses, due to various reasons.
