NEET 2023: KNRUHS Invites Applications for MBBS, BDS Admissions, Check out details
Telangana: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has invited online applications for NEET UG (MBBS and BDS) under the competent authority quota for the academic year 2023-24.

The candidates must take a printout of the Prospectus / Instructions to fill the application form from the website http://www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in/ or from https://tsmedadm.tsche.in/ before proceeding to fill the application form.

Do's and Don'ts -
1. Do not use mobiles, tabs & Ipads. Use Desktops, Computers, or Laptops.
2. Do not select or enter false information which can be liable for Criminal Action.
3. Avoid using slow internet facilities.
4. The candidates need to keep mobile with them while applying and not block SMS.
Registration and processing fee –
1. OC & BC candidates - Rs.3500
2. SC/ST candidates - Rs.2900
The fee will be paid online through a Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded.

Number of seats under competent authority quota –
1. The number of MBBS/BDS seats for the academic year 2023-2024 at Government Medical / Dental Colleges and Private Medical / Dental Colleges will be as permitted by NMC/DCI and notified before counselling. Tuition Fees will be as notified by the State Government.
2. The seat matrix for Competent Authority Quota seats for the academic year i.e., 2023- 24, will be displayed in the KNRUHS website before exercising web options for counseling.
3. If any new MBBS/BDS seats are permitted by NMC/DCI in colleges affiliated to the University for the Academic Year 2023-2024, those seats will also be filled up. No further notification will be issued.
Eligibility –
1. The candidates should be Indian Nationals (or) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders (PIO/OCI status issued before 04-03-2021). They should satisfy Local, Non-Local status requirements as laid down by the Telangana Educational Institutions.
2. Candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology, and English.
3. OC candidates, including candidates seeking EWS reservation, should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
4. BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects.
5. OC PWD candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
6. Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as of 31-12- 2023
Reservations will be based on the following –
1. Reservation for scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST)
2. Reservation for backward classes
3. Reservation for EWS category
4. Reservation for women candidates
5. Reservations for Anglo Indians
6. Reservation for children of employees of Singareni Collieries in Ramagundam

Merit lists –
1. The provisional final merit position of the candidates who have applied online in response to the notification issued by KNR University of Health Sciences for Competent Authority Quota seats shall be determined by NEET-UG-2023 rank and as per their eligibility criteria, applicable regulations, guidelines, and reservation policies.
2. As per regulations of the Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission, the candidates shall secure a minimum of 50 Percentile for the General category, 40 Percentile for SC/ST/BC category, and 45 percent for Persons With Disabilities (under general category) in NEET UG – 2023.
3. The University will notify the provisional final merit list of eligible candidates for exercising web options after verification of uploaded original certificates by the University and officials of concerned departments.
Counseling –
Online application forms without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport size photos, without signatures at the declaration area, incomplete applications will be automatically rejected. It will not be considered for determining the Merit position in respective categories using NEET– UG – 2023 Rank.
After scrutiny of uploaded certificates and applications, the provisional Final merit list will be displayed on the KNRUHS website. Verifying uploaded certificates will be done only once for web-based counseling, irrespective of the number of phases of counseling. Hence, candidates who have applied online are advised to upload all original certificates at the time of online registration without fail for scrutiny by concerned departmental officials. No individual communications will be sent. The notification for the schedule for exercising web options will be issued separately on the KNRUHS website. Candidates are informed to check the website regularly for notifications.
Counseling procedure is in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.114 HM&FW (C1) Department Dated : 05-07-2017, G.O.Ms.No.187, G.O.Ms.No. 125, Health, Medical and Family Welfare (Cl) Department Dated: 22.09.2022, G.O.Ms.no. 33 Tribal Welfare Department, dated. 30.09.2022, G.O.Ms.No.72 HM&FW (C1) Department Dated: 03-07-2023, G.O.Ms.No.75 HM&FW (C1) Department Dated: 04-07-2023 subsequent amendments and relevant Hon'ble Supreme Court and High Court orders.
Candidates have to exercise web options for seats in the interested colleges for the MBBS course and BDS course separately. Candidates and parents are informed to exercise web options very carefully in order of their preference for colleges and to take a printout of exercised web options that are uploaded for reference.
The Admission Committee shall have the power to review the selection in case of any errors, misrepresentation, or glaring injustice and cancel the selection/admission. In all matters relating to selection and admissions, the decision of the Admission Committee shall be final and binding on the candidates, and selections cannot be questioned after admissions are closed.
Admission rules -
1. The letter of allotment for admission of the selected candidate will have to be downloaded from the website after payment of the University fee by the payment gateway. The candidate should submit the print-out of the filled-in online application form, allotment order, and original certificates along with (1) set of self-attested copies to the Principal of the allotted college at the time of joining for final verification by the admission committee constituted at each college. The admission committee is responsible for scrutiny of the original certificates submitted by the candidate. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment order for admission will be canceled.
2. Undertaking in the form of Affidavit on Rs. 100 /- Non-Judicial Stamp paper by the Parent and candidate stating that all the certificates, including the caste and category certificates, are genuine and they are responsible for any further consequences as per law shall be submitted at the time admission. If any discrepancy is noticed, the admission will be canceled.
3. Selected candidates have to join the college within the specified date by submitting all Original Certificates, Bonds and paying the tuition fee as notified by the Government to complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not report at the allotted college within the specified time and completes the process as described above, the admission will be automatically canceled.
Closure of admissions –
The admissions shall be closed as per the schedule notified by the University as per MCI/NMC Regulations.
Commencement of the course –
The course shall commence as per the schedule notified by National Medical Commission. The duration of the course shall be calculated from the date of commencement of the course and shall be uniform for all the candidates, irrespective of individual dates of admission.
