MCC Opens Resignation Window for NEET 2025 Round 1 Reported Seats, details

New Delhi- The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the resignation window for the candidates who desire to leave their National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 1 reported seat from today. On this, MCC has issued a notice detailing the important instructions during the resignation for the candidates.

As per the notice, MCC has received many requests from UG candidates who want to resign their Round-1 reported seats due to various reasons. In this regard, the competent authority has decided to allow Resignation without forfeiture of the security deposit for such candidates. Therefore, the candidates who desire to leave their Round-1 reported seat can do so from today, i.e. 21 August 2025, 11:00 AM, upto 25 August 2025, 05:00 PM of without Forfeiture of Security Deposit.

Meanwhile, the candidates should take note of the following instructions-

1 Candidates who have joined the allotted college and have obtained seat confirmation letter and now wish to resign from the seat only those candidates need to report to the college and obtain resignation letter, and candidates who have not obtained seat confirmation letter need not go to the allotted college for the purpose of resignation and will be treated as free exit.

2 Candidates will have to report physically at the allotted college to resign their seat.

3 Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated online (through the portal provided by MCC) by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.

Medical Dialogues recently reported that MCC revised the NEET UG round 1 counselling schedule for the academic year 2025 Examination for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. As per the revised schedule, candidates can now report/join their seats from 14th August, 2025, to tomorrow, i.e. 22nd August. Following this, the Institutes will verify the data of the joined candidates on 23rd August 2025.
