NEET 2023 results: MCC issues notice for all states, UTs, check out details

Delhi: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice for the State and UTs DMEs/ Vice Chancellors/ Secretaries (Medical Education) of all states regarding the result of NEET UG for MBBS/BDS counselling 2023.

As per the notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS received the Result Hard-drive of NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) 2023 from NTA on 20.06.2023 and is in the process of distributing the result. Hence all the states and UTs are requested to authorize a representative from their office to pick up the result HardDrive from the office of DDG (ME), Room No. 355-‘A’ Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. The representatives are requested to carry an ID card and authorization letter from your office for authentication. The representatives can visit the office from Monday to Friday between 10:30 A.M to 5:00 P.M to pick up the result.

This year the NEET exam was held on 7th May 2023 and 6th June 2023 (Manipur candidates). The counselling process is yet to begin. MCC will conduct 15% of AIQ seats, and the State Counselling authorities will complete the rest, 85% of the state quota seats. Its role is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/information of successful candidates from the National Testing Agency, i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body.

The Medical Counselling Committee is an organization under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allows seats online based on the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility, and the preference list submitted by the candidate.
