NEET 2024 Results: Here is State-wise breakup of qualified candidates, Maximum from UP, followed by Maharashtra, Rajasthan
New Delhi- The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam result in which 56.4 per cent of the candidates qualified and 67 candidates have bagged the top rank.
A total of 2406079 candidates were registered, 2333297 candidates appeared and 1316268 qualified across 571 cities across the country including 14 cities outside India.
Of these 67 candidates, 11 are from Rajasthan, followed by eight from Tamil Nadu and seven from Maharashtra.
The highest number of candidates i.e. 165047 qualified in Uttar Pradesh, followed by 142665 in Maharashtra and 121240 in Rajasthan. Then, 89426 candidates qualified in Tamil Nadu, 89088 in Karnataka followed by 86681 candidates qualifying in Kerala, 74743 in Bihar, 63135 in West Bengal, 60073 in Madhya Pradesh, 57197 in Gujarat, 47371 in Telangana, 46794 in Delhi and 43858 in Andhra Pradesh.
34347 in Haryana, 32617 in Odisha, 24565 in Jammu and Kashmir, 22344 in Chattisgarh, 21085 in Assam, 20541 in Jharkhand, 15743 in Punjab, 12422 in Uttarakhand and 12079 candidates qualified in Himachal Pradesh.
5859 candidates qualified in Manipur, 5638 candidates from others (including outside India), 3431 in Puducherry, 2586 in Goa, 2570 in Arunachal Pradesh, 2541 in Chandigarh, 2399 in Tripura, 1934 in Nagaland, 1837 in Meghalaya and 1179 in Mizoram.
Meanwhile, the least number of candidates i.e. 181 qualified in Lakshadweep, followed by 323 in Daman and Diu, 612 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 694 in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, 619 in Ladakh and 804 in Sikkim.

This year, NTA conducted the NEET UG exam on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM for more than 24 lakh candidates at various centres located in 557 cities across the country, including 14 cities outside India.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Result of NEET (UG) - 2024 has been declared based on the qualifying criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission and Dental Council of India and also based on the information submitted by the candidates in their online application forms. The qualified candidates may please note that they have to further complete the formalities with the respective Counselling Authorities viz DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
The country's biggest entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at the undergraduate level, 5,47,036 are male, 7,69,222 are female and 10 are transgender persons. Of the 13,16,268 qualified candidates, 3,33,932 were from the unreserved category, 6,18,890 from the OBC category, 1,78,738 from SC, 68,479 from ST, and 1,16,229 from the EWS category. Besides, 4,120 candidates from the Persons with Disabilities category have also qualified the exam.
