NEET 2025 in Assam to Be Held Only in Govt Schools
Assam- This year, in 2025, the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) entrance exams will be exclusively be conducted only in government schools of Assam. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced this recently.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also approved the request of the CM.
Besides this, correspondence has also been initiated with the center by the state government in this regard. The NEET UG entrance exam for the academic year 2025 will be held on May 4 across India.
According to the TOI media news report, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his concerns regarding the conduct of the crucial medical exam in private educational institutions, raising apprehensions about possible irregularities and compromise of the integrity of the exam.
In this regard, through a Facebook Live session on Monday evening, Sarma elaborated, "I asked Dharmendra Pradhan ji if we could conduct the NEET exam in government schools under strict surveillance and security. He accepted my proposal and agreed to implement changes to conduct NEET exclusively in government schools in Assam. We have already communicated with the central government, and NEET exam centres for May will be set up only in government schools in Assam."
