NEET 2025: NTA discontinues optional section, check revised exam pattern
NEET UG 2025
New Delhi- The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reverted the National Eligibility-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 exam question paper pattern and exam duration to the pre-COVID-19 format.
This means there will be no section B in the question paper this year, so there will be a total of 180 compulsory questions and candidates will get only 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours to attempt each question.
This has been recently informed through a notice, where NTA has clearly mentioned that the NEET UG 2025 exam question paper pattern and examination duration will be reverted to the pre-COVID format. Where there will not be any Section B anymore. Hence, there will only be a total of 180 compulsory questions which include 45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 in Biology which will be attempted by the candidates only in 180 minutes thereby removing any optional questions and extra time introduced due to COVID.
