NEET 2026 refunds: NTA extends bank details submission deadline to June 22
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the facility for submission of bank account details by the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 candidates for processing of examination fee refunds. The decision was announced through a public notice.
According to the notice, the extension has been granted in continuation of earlier public notices issued on May 12 and May 22, 2026, regarding the refund process for NEET UG 2026 candidates. The agency had earlier opened the refund portal from May 22 to May 27, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
Through the notice, the NTA has informed that nearly 13 lakh candidates have already updated their bank account details on the NEET UG 2026 registration portal. To facilitate candidates who are yet to complete the process, the agency has now extended the deadline till June 22, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
"The facility for submission of bank account details shall remain available till 22 June 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.)," the notice read.
Candidates are required to log in to the NEET UG 2026 portal using their credentials and access the refund link to submit their preferred bank account details. The agency has also allowed candidates to upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque on an optional basis to ensure accuracy in bank account information.
As detailed in the notice, candidates need to provide particulars, including Account Holder Name as per bank records, IFSC Code, Account Number, and Bank Name.
The NTA has clearly stated that once the bank account details are submitted, they will be treated as final and no further modifications will be permitted thereafter. Therefore, candidates have been advised to carefully verify all details before final submission.
The extension is expected to benefit thousands of NEET UG 2026 aspirants who were unable to complete the process within the earlier deadline.
