NEET Counselling 2021: WBMCC issues notice for Round 1 candidates, details

West Bengal : Through a written notice, the Director of Medical Education (DME) has informed about choice filling, candidate list publication, round 1 results, and admission delays modification for NEET candidates.

According to DME, no extension has been provided in enrollment and payment for round 1. Candidates can check the candidate list after 4:00 pm on 8th February 2022. The list will contain the names of the candidates who have registered successfully and filled and saved the choice in round 1 only.

The admission for round 1 will commence from 10th February 2022 till 12th February 2022 between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For the admission process, the candidates are requested to visit the allotted college with original documents and self-attested copy, requisite fee, and bond as applicable within the stipulated time.

The candidate has to go through the documents verification process 1st and only if the college is satisfied with the documents and credentials the admission will be granted. The server-generated admission slip generated by the college is a must for the candidates. In the absence of a server-generated slip, admission cannot be recorded on the server. This will be reflected as seats not being reported.

DME has asked the candidates to make the bond on non-judicial stamp paper not less than Rs 50 with additional demy paper as required. The candidates can upgrade their willingness in the college allotted. If the candidates want to upgrade in round 2, then choose yes in willingness. The same should be reflected in the server-generated admission slip. The changes in willingness once submitted cannot be altered.

After submitting the documents at the college, the candidate will get a slip that states the essential documents submitted to the college. Except for the age and caste proof, all the original documents must be submitted.

The last date to surrender seats for candidates admitted after round 1 is 12th February 2022 till 4:00 pm. There will be no facility for seat surrender in round 2 or later. Once the seat is surrendered, candidates cannot participate in further rounds of counselling.

For round 2 and online, MOP candidates will have to fill fresh choices. If the candidates still do not report to the allotted college, they can attend round 2 counselling and fill fresh choice. If the candidates apply for willingness in round 2 and do not fill the fresh choice, then the candidate will retain the earlier admitted seat.

If the candidates apply for willingness in round 2 and fill the fresh choice but are not upgraded, then the candidate will retain the earlier admitted seat. If the candidates apply for willingness in round 2 and fill the fresh choice and upgrades, the earlier retained seat will automatically be cancelled. The candidates will get back the documents and fees in the previously admitted colleges. The candidates should get server provided relieving letter. The candidate can then go ahead with the admission process with the newly allotted college.

If the candidate does not report to the newly allotted college in round 2, they still can go to MOP round by again paying the registration fee and registering fresh. Candidates cannot change earlier allotment information.

New enrollment, fee payment, and registration facility are also available for rounds 2 and MOP candidates if they are NEET UG qualified and eligible for PG counselling. The COVID protocol has to be strictly followed by the college and candidates.

Suppose SC/ST/OBC/OBCB/EWS candidate allotted unreserved seat and not produce validly certificated. In that case, the caste status shall be edited to unreserved for counselling purposes by the allotted institute. The admission letter generated for this round and the database will be updated. For the next rounds, the candidates will be considered as unreserved.

Suppose SC/ST/OBC/OBCB/EWS candidate allotted in respective caste/quota seat and not produce a valid certificate. In that case, cast status will be edited to unreserved for counselling purposes by the allotted colleges, and then the cancellation order of seats for this round will be generated. For the next round, the candidates will be considered unreserved only if the candidate has obtained unserved above or equal to 50% marks in NEET.

If physically challenged (PC) candidates are allotted seats in non PC seats and not produced a valid certificate, then the PC status shall be changed to the respective non PC category and admission latter will be generated, and the database will be updated. For the next round, the candidate will be considered as non-PC.

If physically challenged (PC), candidates are allotted seats in PC seats without a valid certificate. The PC status shall be changed to the respective non PC category. The cancellation order of such allotted seats for this round will be generated, and the database will be updated. For the next round, the candidate will be considered as non-PC.
