Following the Supreme Court's directive, there have been no updates from MCC regarding the NEET PG 2025 AIQ counselling schedule. This has created concerns and confusion among the NEET PG aspirants.
Highlighting that counselling should have commenced in September, the aspirants are urging authorities, including the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Union Health Minister to release the counselling schedule for NEET PG at the earliest.
Taking to X, one user wrote, "@NMC_BHARAT Kindly release the Counselling schedule for NEET PG. It's been more than a month since the result, and no update on Counseling. As per NMC president Counseling was supposed to happen in Sept. #neetpg2025 @JPNadda #nodelay #NEETPG #neet #counselling #neetpgcounselling"
Some of the users pointed out that this delay in commencing the counselling schedule is also affecting the patient care at the hospitals, where only 2 batches of resident doctors are currently available.
"MCC is taking its own sweet time in conducting Neet Pg counselling, not realising that the tertiary care hospitals are functioning with only 2 batch of overworked residents...kyunki ground reality se unka lena dena thodi hai :)" read the X post of one such user.
Anxious over this delay in the counselling, one X user wrote, "Can't take this delay in neet pg counselling anymore. Too much !!!"
"Dear PG residents, please urge your Doctors’ Associations to press for immediate NEET PG counselling and meet the Health Minister. A timely start means new batch joins sooner → reduced workload for all current residents.Let’s raise our voices together for fair timelines!" wrote an X user.
Meanwhile, the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) recently hinted at the possibility of the NEET PG counselling being started by mid-October. "Update: As per our communication with MOHFW officials,#NEETPG counselling is most likely to begin by mid-October.Further details awaited. Stay tuned! #NEETPG2025" FAIMA Doctors Association wrote in an X post.
Further, the deadline given to NBE to file a response regarding the NEET PG transparency plea is almost over, and the Supreme Court is likely to take up the matter soon.
