NEET PG 2026 on August 30: Exam day guidelines, documents, prohibited items candidates must know

The concerned candidates are advised to take note of the following points as per the NEET PG 2026 exam Information Bulletin. NBEMS shall be conducting the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in a safe and secure environment, maintaining social distancing norms wherever needed.

ENTRY OF CANDIDATES AS PER TIMELINES GIVEN TO THE CANDIDATES

Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the test venue as per the time indicated in their admit cards. The exact entry point to the test centre (Reporting Counter) and the main gate of the venue might be at a distance. To avoid unforeseen delays in reaching the test centre entry point (Reporting Counter), candidates are advised to reach well in time and familiarise themselves with the exact point of entry to the test centre in the premises of the venue well in advance.

The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time. Any delay in arrival at the test centre entry point (Reporting Counter) shall lead to denial of entry, even if the candidate might have arrived at the premises of the venue.

Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances. NBEMS shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate in reaching the centre for any reason.

TEST CENTRE LOCATION

Exact address and location of the test centres shall be indicated in the admit card. Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the test centre and reporting counter locations at least one day prior to the examination day and ensure that they report for the exam as per the scheduled time only.

Google Maps location shall be indicated in the admit card for quick reference only. It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to confirm the exact location of the test centre well in advance to avoid any delay in arrival.

Candidates are advised to reach the Test Centre well before the prescribed reporting time and keep adequate time available for the entire examination day. Examination-related processes, including registration, authentication, verification, security procedures and management of unforeseen contingencies, may extend beyond the scheduled examination duration.

Candidates should plan their travel and other commitments accordingly and avoid making inflexible onward travel arrangements on the day of examination.

Please note that only the candidates who have been issued an admit card will be allowed entry inside the examination centre premises, subject to fulfilment of documentary requirements.

Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry into the examination centre premises under any circumstances and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing.

Candidates are advised to advise their parents or accompanying persons not to congregate near entry/exit gates, security checkpoints or access routes, as such crowding may obstruct candidate movement, security procedures, traffic flow and examination-related operations.

BARCODE/QR CODE READER AT ENTRY POINTS

The candidate will display the admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam functionary standing across the table with barcode / QR code reader. The candidate shall be informed about the assigned lab number. Identity checks will be made upon arrival at the test centre to ensure that there are no unauthorised candidates appearing for the exam.

CANDIDATES WILL BE COMPULSORILY REQUIRED TO CARRY THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH THEM TO THE EXAMINATION LAB

1 Printed colour copy of Barcoded / QR Coded Admit card.

AND

2 Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration*, to be retained by the test centre.

AND

3 UDID/Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming scribe / extra time as per provisions of the RPwD Act, 2016.

AND

4 Any one of the below-mentioned Govt-issued photo IDs (must be original and valid / non-expired)-

i PAN Card.

ii Driving License.

iii Voter ID.

iv Passport.

v Aadhaar Card (With Photograph).

Please bring at least one, but as many of the above-mentioned Photo IDs as are issued to you and details of which have been provided in the application form.

Candidates who have given their consent for Aadhaar-based authentication and provided their Aadhaar Number in the Application form must bring their Aadhaar on the exam day.

In case any candidate reports to the test centre with an e-Aadhaar Card with the Aadhaar number printed on it as proof of identity, the e-Aadhaar Card should be a good quality colour printout with a clearly visible photograph. The photograph should not have kinks, scratches, or stains, and should definitely match the candidate presenting the e-Aadhaar Card. The decision of NBEMS in this regard shall be final.

Indian Citizens / OCI who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India and qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination should also bring their original FMGE (Screening Test) Pass certificate issued on NBEMS letterhead.

Foreign Nationals who are desirous to appear in NEET-PG are required to bring their passport (original & valid) to the test centre along with any other documents (Registration with Medical Council in their country of nationality) as proof of their being a medical practitioner in their country.

The name on the photo identification must match the name as shown on the Admit Card. If the name has changed due to marriage, etc, the candidate must show the relevant document to substantiate the claim for change in name (Marriage Certificate/Divorcee Decree/Legal Name Change Document / Gazette notification for name change).

Candidates without original hard copy valid ID proof shall not be allowed to enter the examination premises. Photocopies of Govt. issued ID proofs shall not be accepted. Identity proof shown in DigiLocker shall also not be acceptable, as candidates shall not be allowed to carry any electronic device inside the exam centre.

SECURITY AT THE TEST CENTRE- 

Candidates will not be allowed to take the following items beyond the security checkpoint in the examination premises under any circumstances:

1 Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, etc.

2 Any electronic device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, wrist watch / Smart Watches / Health Band, Electronic Pen / Scanner etc.

3 All ornaments like bracelets, Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain / Necklace, Pendants, Necklace with pendants, Badge, brooch, etc.

4 Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Mask, Gloves, cap, etc.

5 Any eatable item opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottle, etc.

6 Any other item which could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices like wireless / Bluetooth device, spy cameras, etc.
